Chapter 23 Are You Jealous?
“Sorry, the phone you dialed is not available…”
Wilson still didn’t answer the call.
Did he block her number?
That was impossible.
Synthia quickly realized this idea was ridiculous, and she decided to call Kyra.
Kyra was in a meeting, but she still answered Synthia’s call immediately.
“Kyra, do you know anyone working in the live streaming industry?” Synthia asked.
Synthia couldn’t contact Wilson, but she could call Kyra for help.
“No.” Kyra said. “But if you need, I can find someone right away. Are you asking because of the issues of Ms. Sweeney’s company?”
Vantedge Capital was owned by DR Group. They made such an important move. Everyone in the business circle knew it.
Synthia pressed her temples. “Yeah, she’s been hiding it from me, so I just found out that Vantedge Capital used other big companies to gang. up on her. So basically, it’s Vantedge Capital that wants to destroy her company.”
Facing the top giant, any resistance from a small company was futile.

It was just a matter of time before it was crushed.
“I got it.” Kyra tapped her fingers on the armrest. She quickly analyzed, “DR Group is entering the live streaming industry. It means that at
least in Southdale, DR Group is going to be in control of this industry.”
“So?”
Synthia frowned. She didn’t quite understand business, and she didn’t expect Darion to have such a big influence in Southdale.
Kyra replied, “So, to help her, you can’t look for investors in Southdale, because no one here dares to offend Darion and his DR Group.”
“Including me,” Kyra thought.
But she didn’t say it to Synthia, because if she really had to fight with Darion for Synthia one day, she would not hesitate.
Kyra’s existence and everything she had were all for Synthia.
“I understand it, so I immediately thought of contacting Wilson,” Synthia sighed. “He’s influential abroad, so I think maybe he can find some resources from abroad. But he didn’t answer my phone.”
Kyra was speechless.
Well, Wilson missed a perfect chance to play a hero.
“So, this is why you didn’t contact me first?” Kyra teased with a mischievous smile.
Synthia paused for a moment.

“No,” Synthia laughed. “Kyra, are you jealous because of this?”
She thought Kyra was funny.
“Yeah, I told you before, I hope I’m the first person you think of when you need help anytime,” Kyra said slowly. “So, Wilson is screwed.”
Synthia laughed. She felt much better.
After hanging up, she started her work at the hospital.
After Kyra finished the call, she immediately contacted Wilson. Actually, she could find other suitable investors to help Synthia, but she agreed with Synthia’s ideas. Darion’s influence in Southdale was too great, so finding investors abroad would be more reliable.
At the same time, at the president’s office, DR Group headquarters.
After the meeting, Joslyn brought some takeaway food to Darion.
Eugene was reporting to Darion.
Seeing Joslyn, Eugene thought of the incident he encountered with Synthia earlier, and he wanted to report it to Darion, but he was interrupted by Joslyn.
“Mr. Conner, there’s nothing important here, so you can leave first,” Joslyn looked at Eugene coquettishly, asking him to leave.
Eugene glanced at Darion, but Darion focused on reading documents and didn’t speak.
Eugene hesitated for a moment, and he still decided to leave.
But he still stayed outside the office.

“Dary, there will be a top charity gala at Titanix Hotel next week,” Joslyn said, revealing her intentions. “I heard that many celebrities from Southdale will attend. Dary, can you take me with you?”
Joslyn’s goal was clear. She wanted to marry into a wealthy family.
And her target was the Raymond family.
Since she was determined to be Darion’s wife, it was natural to enjoy the rights in advance. Most importantly, she wanted to preempt and show up with Darion at this public event.
Even though Darion didn’t officially divorce, he never brought other women to attend such public events, especially such high–profile gatherings. Everybody would know her status when she attended it with Darion.
“No,” Darion refused outright, not even looking up.
In the past. Darion never brought a date.
He was not afraid of inconveniences or causing misunderstandings, but he was already married. Even though he didn’t get married voluntarily, he didn’t want to be a cheating man.
“Dary, is it because of Dr. Duffy?” Joslyn looked very aggrieved, tears. welling up in her eyes.
To be honest, Joslyn wasn’t bad–looking. With her makeup and attire, she could be considered a beautiful woman.
Indeed, she would attract so many men.
Darion was signing a paper, and he suddenly paused.

Joslyn. “Do you think I have to find a reason to reject you? If you don’t remember the lesson in Starryburn, next time I’ll send you abroad.”
When he made decisions, he never explained to anyone.
However, mentioning Synthia, Darion was a bit annoyed. Last night, he was inexplicably scolded by her friend. Even though Synthia apologized, it was not sincere at all.
If she really wanted to apologize, why didn’t she invite him to dinner?
“I won’t go abroad.” Joslyn immediately changed her attitude. “I’m sorry, Dary, I won’t ask it again. I’ll think of another way to attend the charity gala.”
She wouldn’t give up.
The charity gala would be a great opportunity to show off. As long ast she could get in, there would be so many ways to get close to Darion.
Anyway, Darion wouldn’t take the initiative to clarify their relationship.
“Get out,” Darion ordered.
Darion thought Joslyn was too unreasonable lately. She used to be very considerate.
“Okay,” Joslyn coaxed, “Dary, I made some food for you this morning. Remember to eat it.”
Darion didn’t respond.
Joslyn didn’t dare to say anything more and left dejectedly.
Coming out of the president’s office, Joslyn saw Eugene not leaving.

He was standing outside.
“Mr. Conner?” Joslyn smiled. “Why are you still here? If Dary doesn’t ask something, you shouldn’t report it to him. You know, Dary is very busy. I think we shouldn’t waste his time on some unimportant people or matters, right?”
Her words were a warning to Eugene.
Eugene understood her meaning.
He glanced at Darion’s office and nodded slightly. “Okay, I got it, Ms. Aguirre.”
Eugene finished and turned to leave.
“Wait a moment!” Joslyn thought of something and stopped Eugene.
Eugene turned around. “Ms. Aguirre, what else?”
“Oh, well,” Joslyn pretended to speak calmly, “Dary agreed to take me to attend next week’s charity gala. Can you help me get two invitation letters?”
