Chapter 10
The doubts that had once been buried deep in Jaden’s heart now all resurfaced in his mind.
Alexandra’s figure, however, lingered and refused to go away!
In his memory, over the past four years, she had always been understanding, taking care of him meticulously and catering to his every
reed.
Jaden had once sent someone to investigate her past, only to find out that both of her parents had passed away from illness when she was young, leaving her all alone.
He hadn’t found any more information beyond that. Whether she had been born mute or had lost her voice due t had no idea

He had once asked Alexandra why she couldn’t speak. She only smiled faintly at the ti And how did he respond again? Oh, right, he remembered…
He had tumed his head away awkwardly and muttered, “I don’t care about your business. You better stay you’d chatter in my ear every day. That’d be annoying.
Alexandra hadn’t gotten angry back then. She had just gestured, “My voice is very pleasant. I definitely won’t annoy you.”
What did her voice actually sound like? At this moment, Jaden couldn’t help but feel curious.
But she was clearly someone who had done something wrong. Why was he thinking about her like this?!!
Jaden quickly stopped himself from thinking further and called his assistant, “How’s the investigation going? Where did Alexandra go? When can we bring her back?”
Mr. Philemon, I have an audio clip here. I think youll be in
you’ll be interested.” The assistant sent him a thirty–second audio file. Jaden played it and heard a familiar melody, accompanied by the most familiar voice.
He knew the lyrics by heart. He had never dared forget them in the past ten years.
This was a song from more than a decade ago, back when he hadn’t lost contact with Little Oriole. It was the song she used to sing to him the most
This song had been written and composed by eight–year–old Little Oriole as a birthday gift for ten–year–old Jaden.
Even though the current version had been rearranged and was far richer musically, Jaden recognized it instantly.!!
His hand trembled as he held the phone. He turned back to look at Cecilia, who was still lying on the hospital bed. He asked his assistant, “Did Cecilia send you this song? When?“%
His assistant said, “Mr. Philemon, this song has nothing to do with Miss Santoz. This song was just released by Global Records. Miss Swann went to the UK and joined Global Records. This is a clip of her latest work.”
Jaden’s eyes widened, “What?”
If all this was true, then between Alexandra and Cecilia, one of them must be an imposter!
An imposter who had pretended to be the Masked Diva and who had pretended to be the Little Oriole he had searched for tirelessly for ten
Thought about this, Jaden pulled up the post again that had revealed evidence of Cecilia’s impersonation and studied it carefully. Something began to faintly come together in his mind.
Jaden gradually calmed down and said to the assistant on the phone, “The trending searches about Cecilia are mostly taken down, right? Go verify the content mentioned in that Twitter post. Give me a clear answer tonight.“%
Understood, Mr. Philemon, said the assistant.
Jaden stood up and looked at Cecilia in the hospital room from afară
