Just like that, Jacob started chasing after Josephine, following her trail from country to country
The more places he visited, the more he realized that every stop was on Jasmine’s bucket list.
Josephine hadn’t forgotten their daughter. She was fulfilling Jasmine’s final wishes in her own quiet way
Even in heaven, Jasmine would know how deeply her mother loved her.
She would always be her mother’s little girl and her mother would always wait for her to come home
Jacob followed Josephine to a panda sanctuary in China in just one month. Jasmine had once said that pandas were her favourite animals.1
Then, to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park. Jasmine had always wanted to use magic to fight Voldemort.
Then, to the ocean in New Zealand. Jasmine had said that the sunsets by the sea there were the most beautiful in the world.
Only after Jasmine was gone did he truly get to know his daughter and understand her interests and passions through these experiences.
But every single time, he and Josephine missed each other. They didn’t meet even once.
Each time, he could only visit the places Jasmine had always wanted to see, the places she had longed to go. all alone.
Josephine’s final destination was Provence, France.
He followed right on her heels. This time, they finally didn’t miss each other.!!
Provence was filled with vast fields of lavender. Jacob saw Josephine’s figure from afar, moving through the lavender sea“!
He could finally see her! He looked down at his clothes and realized he was a bit travel–worn.
He quickly turned around and ducked into the nearest jewellery store, where he bought an expensive bracelet.!
He freshened up again in the bathroom, then took the gift in hand. With a mix of nervousness and excitement, he stepped back into the sea of lavender.
But this time, he froze in his tracks after just one glance X
The area was crowded with people and bustling with activity
Christopher was down on one knee, holding out a ring he had designed himself and asked with utmost sincerity, “Josephine Sorensen, will you marry me?”
Tears welled up in Josephine’s eyes. She held out her hand and nodded. “Yes.”
The crowd erupted into applause and cheers.
Christopher stood up, wrapped her in a tight embrace and kissed her gently on the forehead.
No, this can’t be happening! Josephine can’t be with someone else!!!

Suddenly, a car failed to notice Jacob on the road and couldn’t stop in time, slamming right into him.
He was flung straight onto the road. Stunned, he tried to push himself up. He had to get answers from Josephine.
Still, he hadn’t had a chance to rest after such a long journey and constant travel. His body had reached its limit.
He barely managed to crawl two meters before he coughed up blood. His vision blurred and he couldn’t support himself any longer!
The necklace fell to the ground, breaking in two. His consciousness faded and he could only hear the surrounding screams and car homs.
It seemed like someone was desperately calling his name.
He wanted to open his eyes and respond, but his eyelids were too heavy. He simply couldn’t open them.l
Just like that, he lay in a pool of blood, losing consciousness completely.!!
Not far away, Christopher was spinning Josephine around and around in his arms.
The two were wholly immersed in their joy and didn’t notice the commotion there at all.
Jacob’s assistant cried out and rushed him to the ambulance.
Unfortunately, before the ambulance could reach the hospital, he breathed his last.
The paramedics in the ambulance checked their watches and pronounced callously, “6:01 PM, declared dead after failed resuscitation.” This man, who had once dominated New York City, died in an unknown comer of France
Until the very end, Josephine didn’t spare him a single glance.
