Chapter 6
“Don’t be too upset, Don. Fl always be here with you.”
A soft familiar voice pulled him from his thoughts as a pair of slender arms wrapped around his neck from behind. Vincenzo’s body tensed. For a moment, he thought it was Alessandra. His arms instinctively tightened around the woman’s
“You came back,” he murmured, half–conscious. His hand weakly brushed against her cheek.
“Sandra, I’m sorry. I know I’ve been a jerk, but I swear I’ll make it up to you. Just… please don’t leave me. Don’t divorce me, okay?”
Bianca’s eyes darkened with rage. He had mistaken her for Alessandra. Even now, Alessandra held such a place in his heart- in the heart of the mafia boss.
Feeling Vincenzo’s trembling arms around her, Bianca stayed silent, letting him hold her.
But the moment Vincenzo opened his eyes and registered the person in front of him, he shoved her away
“You’re not Alessandra!”
When he realized who it was, his expression hardened, his defenses slipping back into place.
“Why are you here, Bianca?” His voice was cold. 2
Bianca swallowed the bitterness rising in her throat and lowered her head, forcing her voice into a soft, pitiful tone.
“Don, I was worried about you. You haven’t been to the vineyard in so long. I’m sure Sandra will come back to you.”
At the mention of Alessandra’s name, Vincenzo’s gaze darkened.
“You know,” he said quietly, “I think it’s better if you don’t come here anymore. It’ll create more misunderstandings for Sandra.“X “What?” Bianca’s eyes widened in disbelief. “But… we grew up together, Vince. You can’t just cut me off like this!”
Vincenzo’s eyes remained fixed on a framed photo of their wedding. His expression was cold and detached.
“Face it, B. We’re adults now. We both have our own lives. Whatever we had in our childhood should’ve ended a long time
ago.”
His jaw tightened.
“I love Alessandra. I can’t hurt her anymore,”
Hearing Vincenzo’s declaration of love with her own ears, Bianca’s composure shattered.
“No! That’s impossible! You love me, right? You always have!”
Her voice rose, frantic and desperate.
“How could you possibly love Alessandra? You’re just feeling guilty! She doesn’t even love you–she probably wishes you were dead! You’re just struggling to accept her leaving, but trust me, you’ll get over it soon enough
Bianca threw her arms around Vincenzo again.
For the first time, Vincenzo saw Blanca this unhinged. His brows pulled together in confusion X
He wasn’t sure if Blanca was just angry–or if she truly loved him,
But if she really loved him, why had she chosen to be with Raffaele, a man from a rival family?!
For years, he had humbly stayed by her side, protecting her from the shadows, hoping that one day she would see him. Bianca had grown used to standing above him, basking in that protection. But now… Vincenzo couldn’t understand her
anymore.
Then, his encrypted phone buzzed. A message from his informant.
Two surveillance videos.
Vincenzo pulled them up. The first was from a private hospital. The second was from the castle.!
After watching both, his expression turned ice cold. His gaze sharpened, lethal like a hitman.
Slowly, he turned toward Bianca. Her face had gone pale, the blood draining from her cheeks.!!
“Explain this.”
Bianca’s lips parted, but no sound came out. Her gaze darted toward the phone in his hand.
Vincenzo could barely breathe as his mind raced through the implications. The daughter of a mafia family–someone who had once taken a bullet for him–was capable of this?
Not only had she hurt Alessandra_X
She had killed his child.
His eyes darkened with lethal calm as he stared at Bianca like she was a traitor “It’s not what it looks like!” she choked out. “It’s it’s fake! The footage is fake.“2

“It must be Alessandra!” Bianca’s voice sharpened, desperate. “She’s jealous because you trust me. She’s trying to turn you against me-”
“Shut up.”
Vincenzo’s voice sliced through the air like a knife. His jaw clenched, the muscle in his temple twitching violently. The decades of Sicilian self–control were unraveling by the second.2
“You’re still trying to pin this on Alessandra?” His tone dropped, low and dangerous. “She would never pull a stunt like this.”
Bianca’s face twisted, her tear–streaked cheeks darkening with anger!
“You don’t believe me?” Her voice sharpened into a venomous edge. “You swore a blood oath to me and now you’re throwing me away for her?”
Her lips curled into a bitter smile. “Oh, no. You actually love her?“Z
Vincenzo’s eyes narrowed into slits. His hand twitched at his side, tension radiating from every muscle.
“Too bad she knows everything you’ve done,” Bianca hissed, her eyes flashing with snake–like malice. “Selling out her father. Feeding her birth control pills. Pretending you actually love her. She knows it all.”
Bianca’s gaze sharpened as she leaned toward him, her mouth curling into a vicious smirk.
“You really think she’ll forgive you?”
