Chapter 8
It was Femma who had voluntarily shown up at his hotel door, wearing nothing but revealing sleepwear.}
She had come to seduce him.
She even said that she wanted to “have a taste” of anything her sister had, too.
That scene had been witnessed by all the onlookers.
Femma’s face flushed red, then turned pale. Her eyes darted nervously and she tried to explain herself.}
“It’s not like that, it’s really not! He must have faked the video!“}
But the moment Jude saw her cry, his heart ached terribly.}
He lost all sense of reason, hugged her tightly and shouted at the police, “Femma is the purest, kindest girl. There’s no way she’d do something like this. You must have it all wrong!”
I let out a cold laugh and said, “If the video is fake, then the hotel lobby must have surveillance. Pull it up and we’ll know the truth.“> As soon as I said that, Femma’s expression froze stiff on her face.
The police quickly called in hotel staff, who accessed the lobby’s surveillance footage.}
Sure enough, it showed Yosef arriving first and Femma following closely behind.}
There was clearly no abduction or coercion involved.
Jude’s face turned ghostly pale, bit by bit.
Yosef looked at him with a smirk, shaking the video on his phone mockingly. “Bro, I didn’t expect you to fall for a woman like that. Since you like her so much, do you want me to send you the video? Enjoy it in private.”}
Jude felt utterly humiliated. He stormed off in anger, not even glancing back at Femma.}
But Femma chased after him, calling out in desperation, “Femma, you have to believe me! They forced me to do this!“>
But in the end, she was still taken away by the police.
Yosef had called them the moment he realized she had entered, reporting her for sexual harassment.
Even if the perpetrator was a woman, it still wasn’t acceptable.
On the way back, I teased Yosef.
“A girl throws herself at you and you still turn her down. Is it because Femma isn’t pretty enough?” “No,” Yosef replied, unusually serious.
“What?” I was completely puzzled.
But then Yosef stopped the car and pulled me into his arms.

“Leona, I love you.”
I suddenly laughed.

So naturally, I always assumed the one buying me breakfast was Jude.
In one mistaken encounter after another, I secretly fell for him–so much so that in my past life, I ended up sacrificing my entire future. But this time, things had finally been set right.
Jude had never felt as frustrated as he did today.
He thought he had successfully escaped an arranged marriage and defied his parents‘ orders just to marry Femma.§
But to his surprise, she did something that left him completely shocked and deeply disappointed.
Jude downed bottle after bottle of alcohol, getting himself completely drunk.
He watched that video over and over again.
He watched how Femma dressed provocatively, flaunting herself flirtatiously and how she knocked on a man’s hotel room door, even boldly trying to seduce him.
Jude’s eyes were bloodshot. He felt like he was about to lose his mind.
This was a side of her he had never seen before. In his eyes, Femma had always been a pure and kind little bunny–so gentle that she wouldn’t even dare to crush an ant.
