Chapter 5
The living room immediately fell into a dead silence.
Obviously, they had never expected that I would suddenly say such words to them. After all, I had always been compromised in front of them.
In the past, I used to think that as long as I listened to them, they would accept me and love me.
But later, I understood that no matter how hard I tried, they would never love me.
In the next four days, I also didn’t hope to have their love.
Unwilling to argue with them, I limped back to my own room.
Lying in bed, when I was ready to rest, I suddenly received a message from Camden.
“Shirley once saved my life. I owed her a favor. Back then, she traded her kidney for a chance for me to survive.
“So, even if you don’t agree this time, I will still have a wedding with her.”
At that moment, I was struck by the “truth” Camden told me.
So, this was the favor he owed Shirley.
But it was me who saved him with my kidney back then.
How did it become Shirley’s credit?
“Camden, back then, you were knocked unconscious by your opponent, and it was me who saved you with my kidney.”
I couldn’t help but tell him the truth.
After a moment, Camden replied to me with several messages.
“Brielle, what have you learned in prison these five years? How to be a liar? This is not funny.”
“You knew that it was very dark that night, and I fell into a coma, so you took Shirley’s credit and lied to me?”
“I won’t be fooled by you. Your parents and the doctor who performed the kidney transplant on Shirley can all testify that it was Shirley who saved me that day.”
“You shouldn’t have told such a lie. You really disappointed me.”
I lay on the bed, feeling cold in my heart.
7 years ago, I used my kidney as an exchange for Camden’s life.
But in the end, Shirley took my credit.
Somehow, I gradually got used to being heartbroken.
I wiped away the tears from the corner of my eye and typed to respond.
“Whatever.”
I didn’t care whether Camden believed it or not. Anyway, I had already decided to leave him.
Suddenly, my phone rang
Picking up the call, I heard a man’s deep voice.
“Ms. Lynch, everything is ready.
“You can leave Fairport Island forever.”
The next morning, I continued to work part–time, giving out leaflets as usual
My money for my plane ticket was still not enough.
Also, I wanted to make the news of my death as a wedding gift to Shirley.
She should be happy by then. After all, no one would compete with her for the identity of the Lynch family’s daughter anymore.

My parents and my brother should also be very happy because no one could hurt their loved one anymore after I died.
I was diligently giving out leaflets at the entrance of the mall. Suddenly, I bumped into Paul.
When he saw me wearing a clown costume and handing out leaflets, a hint of surprise crossed his eyes. But he quickly became indifferent again.
“Haven’t we given you money? What are you doing here? You wanna tell others that we treat you badly? You’re embarrassing us, you know?”
I suddenly wanted to throw the leaflets in his face, but I held back and just sneered.
“About whether you treat me well or not, you know it very well, don’t you?
“Besides, I didn’t steal or rob. Why is it embarrassing?”
Paul was suddenly lost for words.
But soon, he looked at me fiercely and said, “Mom and Dad are already preparing for Shirley’s wedding. Don’t try to provoke her again this time. Got it?”
With that, he turned and left.
Seemingly having thought of something else, he suddenly turned back and glanced at my legs, showing rare concern.
“When you have time, go to the hospital and have your leg checked. Don’t disgrace the Lynch family.”
Although he said so, I didn’t feel touched at all.
Actually, when I first returned to the Lynch family and found out that I had a brother, I was very happy.
In the past, I used to see on TV that those boys and men who had younger sisters were all doting ones.
They would treasure and protect their younger sister no matter what.
At that time, I thought that I finally had a doting brother.
So, on the second day after returning to the Lynch family, I used all my savings to buy him a tie for Paul.
However, he didn’t even look at it and casually handed it to the servant.
“What brand is this? I never wear cheap stuff. Don’t waste your money on things like this again.”
But when Shirley casually handed him a cheap scarf she had won in a lottery, he was so happy that he hugged her and spun in circles.
“My dear sister, you’re the kindest girl in the world! It’s not easy to get this as a prize in the lottery, right? I will wear it every day from now on!”
At that moment, I understood one thing.
Paul was indeed a doting brother. But the one he doted on was not me, his biological sister.
He had never truly accepted me as his sister from the bottom of his heart.
In three days, I would leave Fairport Island completely.
Today was my last day working here.
After getting the wage in the evening, I walked out of the mall.
The familiar Rolls–Royce was parked by the roadside.
Before I even approached, I saw that my sweet photos with Camden were being displayed on the mall’s big screen.
At the end of the video, Camden made a heartfelt confession in front of the camera.
“Brielle, I will love you forever.”
