Chapter 11
When I heard Giovani asking me, I was momentarily stunned, and then I forced a bitter smile and said, “Just got played by a jerk.”
After a few days of getting to know each other, he made me feel like he was a trustworthy person.
So without much thought, I told Giovani the whole story.
That’s how it was, I didn’t want to be found by him, so I purposely ran from Los Angeles to Germany to have a corneal surgery or corneal transplant.
As I finished speaking, I thought Giovani would say something, but I waited for a long time without hearing any response.
I wondered, “Why aren’t you speaking? Do you think I was being too heartless by doing this?”
“This damn scumbag actually treated you like this. If only I had known, I should have…” Perhaps it’s my poor eyesight, which also affects my hearing.
I didn’t hear Giovani’s words clearly, and I asked in response, “What?”
Giovani cleared his throat and said, “It’s nothing, you should have done that. He treated you like that, why stay and wait for the New Year?”
I was amused by Giovani’s words, “Alright, I’m not angry anymore, why are you getting angry? Haven’t I already left now?”
Giovani asked, “So what is your plan for the next step? Are you really going to let them go so easily?”

I laughed and said, “Of course not, didn’t I just tell you earlier? Cathy’s child is not Xander’s biological child. The child is so young, they can’t be without a biological father.”
So, I had already secretly investigated who the biological father of the child was, guess what? Coincidentally, the father of this child happened to be an idle troublemaker.
Giovani asked, “Are you trying to tell that scumbag, the biological father of the child, that the child is not his?”
I shook my head and said, “It’s not that simple, of course. According to my investigation, this troublemaker was sent to prison for a year, precisely on the day Cathy found out she was pregnant.”
Giovani chuckled lightly and said, “Well, that’s interesting.”
I laughed but said nothing.
Suddenly, the gauze on the eyes slipped off the face.
I opened my eyes and could faintly see all the blurry outlines.
I looked at Giovani sitting across from me, with a straight posture and a well–proportioned figure.
Well, what Kaylen said is right. Just by looking at him, you can tell that he must have been a handsome guy.
It seemed that in a few more days, I would be able to see completely.
Today is already the tenth day since I left.
For the past ten days, Xander locked himself in the study, and even
though Cathy came to persuade him with the child several times, he never

took a step out.
Xander kept calling me on my phone, constantly changing numbers.
But I never received it once.
Every few hours, Xander would ask Derek about my whereabouts.
Derek’s answer was always no.
Xander sat anxiously in the chair, feeling like he was going crazy.
For the past ten days, Mary would often bring the meal in front of Xander, but Xander only took a few sips of the porridge.

He couldn’t eat and didn’t want to sleep. He was afraid that if he slept, he would miss my message.
Finally, Xander, due to exhaustion, fainted in the study.
Mary, who was being delivered lunch, was seen and taken into the hospital.
Xander felt like he had had a very long, long dream.
In the dream, I came back.
Xander excitedly embraced me in his arms and couldn’t help but cry out, “Sharon, you finally came back, finally came back.”
I didn’t say anything, Xander began humbly pleading, “I’m sorry, Sharon, it’s all my fault, it’s all because of me being bad. I know I was wrong, please don’t leave me, from now on let’s be together and live a good life, okay?”
“I would promise you anything you want, as long as you come back, I would promise you everything.”

Chapter 11
After Xander finished speaking, I gently pushed him aside, with a slight smile on my face.
Xander saw and thought that I had forgiven him, happily wanting to embrace me.
In the next second, my eyeball fell out of its socket.
My eye sockets were pitch black, and blood kept flowing out from my
eyes.
I laughed miserably and said, “Xander, my eyes, where are my eyes? Why? I can’t see anything.”
Xander saw this scene and stood frozen in place, startled.
I grabbed Xander’s shoulder and shook him forcefully, saying, “Xander, why did you take away my cornea? I couldn’t see anymore, it’s all because of you! It’s all because of you!”
I exerted force while blood flowed more and more from my eyes, eventually spraying onto Xander’s face.
“Ah!”
