Chapter 15%
Third Person’s POV
Norris stared coldly at her and said, “I’m letting you go now. You’d better crawl back to your country while you still can.”
Gabrielle had been waiting for those words, but now that they came, she trembled.
“No! I don’t want to leave. I’m not leaving!”
She was broken now, physically and mentally. If she went back, she wouldn’t just be penniless, she’d also be a laughingstock. She couldn’t accept that.
However, Norris didn’t care. He wasn’t asking. He simply informed her. He waved to his bodyguards, and they tossed her out onto the street like garbage.N
Without the distraction of tormenting her, Norris felt the familiar void creep back in.
The airline sent him a message, reminding him of the memorial service for the victims tomorrow. He read it, but couldn’t bring himself to respond. It felt like… if he didn’t go, maybe Clarissa would still be alive somewhere in that world.
Late that night, he curled up with the clothes Clarissa used to wear, finally slipping into a dream where she was still with him.
But the sound of his phone ringing snapped him back to reality.N
“Norris, come to the main house. Now.“N
His uncle’s voice was unusually stern. Already irritated from being woken, Norris’s mood soured even more.N
Clarissa had always hated his family, not just because they rejected her, but because of how they treated him too.N
His father had died young, and his mother had been cast out by the family until they reluctantly allowed her and Norris back in. But she was never truly welcomed. The years of resentment broke her and she fell into deep depression.M
Norris had always respected the Daniels but had never felt any real connection to them. Now, being summoned like this only made his distaste grow deeper. Still, he kept a blank face on the drive over.N
But the moment he stepped into their family mansion, the disdain on his face was impossible to hide.N
Inside the living room, Gabrielle sat in a wheelchair, looking nothing like the broken woman from days ago. She was composed now, eyes burning with ambition, and beside her stood a young boy, Matthew.N
As soon as Norris entered, his uncle barked, “Get on your knees!“N
However, he didn’t even flinch. Instead, he walked past everyone and sat down casually on the sofa.N
His uncle’s face immediately darkened with fury.N
“You ungrateful brat! You’d abandon your own son? Do you want your father’s bloodline to die with you?!“N
Yet, Norris actually found it amusing.N
“He’s not my son. And even if he were, I wouldn’t want him. The only woman who will ever be my wife, who will ever be the mother of my children, is Clarissa.”
The room fell into stunned silence. Everyone turned to look at Gabrielle in disbelief.
But she didn’t seem surprised. She’d come prepared. Norris’s uncle slammed a folder down on the table.M
“Don’t lie to us! We have the sperm donation records. The paternity test results are crystal clear! And you’re still trying to deny it? How did our family end up with someone like you?“N
At that time, Norris wasn’t laughing anymore, and simply stood with his face cold.
He had spent a lifetime honoring this family, only to be betrayed. If they’d rather trust her than him, then he had nothing more to say.
“You want a grandson? Fine. Take him. Whether or not he’s mine, I know the answer better than anyone here.“N
His firm denial made some of the family members start to question everything. And right then, Matthew broke into sobs and ran to his feet.E
“My mom is lying! Uncle Norris isn’t my dad!”
The room erupted in gasps. Even Gabrielle’s hand on the wheelchair armrest started to shake.
“Matthew! Come back here!” she hissed.”
The boy flinched and scurried back to her side, silent again.”
Norris’s uncle, on the other hand, narrowed his eyes at Gabrielle.
“I believe you,” he said cautiously, “but just to end this once and for all, we’ll do another paternity test. Right here, right now.“N
Gabrielle went pale but she could only nod.“)
The uncle immediately called the family doctor. But Norris had already turned to leave.
And just when everyone thought the drama had ended, chaos exploded.
Matthew’s cries pierced the air as Gabrielle now held a knife to his neck.
“Give me a million, or I’ll kill your precious grandson! The test result is already laid in front of you all, why don’t you believe it?”
She was completely unhinged, and blood had already started to trickle down Matthew’s neck.
Seeing that the room froze, for a moment, she thought she had won.
But a second later, someone tackled her to the ground. The Daniels had seen more than their share of power struggles. They knew exactly

how to handle this.
Pain exploded through her side as she hit the floor. But instead of fear or shame, Gabrielle started laughing.
“Norris! If you never loved me, then why did you come back for me? Why did you defend me? Everything happened to me is because of you! I curse you! You’ll never die in peace!”
