Everyone gasped and looked at Madison, the
center of the accident.
<
When Knox noticed me, the ice on his face
melted instantly, and he even looked like he
was waiting for praise.
I shook my head and laughed. People are
definitely different.
But time will tell. Gavin used to be all sweet and
innocent.
Madison stood up, her eyes filled with hatred.
She stormed up to me and tried to hit me.
“Shay Fairchild, who the hell do you think you
are? How dare you let your thrall attack me?
You’re going to give me an explanation right
now!”
I grabbed her arm and slapped her across the
face.
“What if I do attack you? An explanation? What
explanation do you want?”
<
Madison touched her face, looking at me like
she couldn’t believe what had just happened.
“You hit me? You actually hit me? Of course,
you’re going to give me Knox, that trash thrall,
and you two are going to apologize to me! Or
else, I’ll never let you off!”
She’s so loud. I rubbed my wrist and slapped
her again.
“What the hell are you barking about? Your skin
is so thick. It hurts my hand to hit you. First,
Knox isn’t a thrall anymore. Second, I can hit
whoever I want. No apologies needed!”
Madison stood there stunned, her face red and
swollen.
“Shay Fairchild, are you crazy? You hit me
again? Aren’t you afraid I’ll tell my parents?
What are you so smug about? What are you
pretending to be? You’ve already bonded with
<
Knox. So what? I’m going to take everything
that belongs to you, including today’s
humiliation!”
Madison always likes to use the fact that she’s
loved by the elders in the family. If she can’t get
something, she likes to run and tell tales.
Well, she can try. I wouldn’t have died in the
middle of nowhere in the first place if it weren’t
for her and Gavin working together to plot
against me.
I won’t let either of them off!
I raised my arm again and slapped Madison
hard across the face.
“Steal? Then try it. As for the bonding, you’re wrong about that too. Knox took the initiative
to bond with me.”
Madison’s face was swollen like a pig’s head,
<
and she looked at me with pure hatred.
“How is that possible? He’s the thrall with the
highest combat power. No one has ever been
able to make him submit to them.”
Knox walked over and confirmed what I said.
“I was willing to bond with her. Do you have a
problem with that? Where’s your thrall? Your
owner has been hurt for so long, but your thrall
is still slacking off and hasn’t shown up yet!”
A thrall’s main responsibility is to protect their
owner. But Madison had been injured for so
long and Gavin still hadn’t shown up.
I knew where Gavin was. He was taking the
opportunity to cozy up to people and make
connections that would benefit him. He didn’t
have the time or energy to care about what
happened to Madison.
<
Madison heard this and snapped out of it,
looking around subconsciously.
“Gavin, where’s Gavin?”
After a long time, Gavin came out of the crowd
and hurried over to help Madison.
“Mistress, are you hurt? I’ll take you to the
hospital…”
Madison was furious and slapped Gavin across
the face. His head snapped to the side.
“You’re useless, you know that? Your owner is
about to be bullied to death, but you’re hiding
far away. Hurry up and help me out of here!”
Gavin’s arms tightened, his fists clenched and
then released. He eventually put on a docile
smile and led Madison away.
“Yes, Mistress. You’ve been wronged. I’ll take
<
you away.”
Knowing Gavin’s personality, he would definitely resent Madison for treating him like this.
