Natalie took down the security guards behind her with ease, then turned to explain to Iris. “I’m not a stalker or a kidnapper. I’m Christopher’s mom
“His biological mom,” she added, just in case the woman didn’t believe her.
Iris looked half convinced.
Christopher denied that this woman was his mother, but now that Iris looked closely, they did resemble each other. This was particularly evident in their sharp, clever, and cunning eyes.
“How do you have proof that you’re his mom?” Iris asked, arms crossed. “Do you have his birth certificate? Social security number?”
Natalie didn’t have a clue.
Iris pressed on. “Then what about a family photo? Surely you have one.”
That, she did.
Natalie pulled out her phone and scrolled until she found a studio photo of the three of them–her, Christopher, and Yvonne. A proper family portrait.
Yvonne, who had been quietly watching from nearby, stepped up. “Miss, she really is our mom. Mine and Chris’s.”
Iris knew Yvonne was Christopher’s younger sister. If even the kid was saying so, it was hard to argue. She finally stepped aside and let Natalie into the classroom.
Christopher stared at her with disdain when Natalie approached him. “What are you doing here?”
Natalie pulled over a stool and sat next to him like it was the most natural thing in the world. She explained, “I’m here for your parent–teacher meeting
The boy showed no appreciation. He declared, “I don’t need you,
Just then, a shrill, grating voice came from behind. “Natalie? What on earth are you doing here? Gwen’s preschool is next door. You can’t even manage being a loyal dog! No wonder my brother didn’t marry you after six years of you chasing him
Natalie turned. She frowned when she saw that woman’s cosmetic surgery fabe.
The woman had what could only be described as a typical social media influencer face–plastic perfection gone incredibly wrong.
Bonnie had a chin sharp enough to stab someone, a nose that could touch the ceiling, overinflated lips that looked like she was stung by bee, and those cookie–cutter double eyelids. Her entire appearance suggested a surgical mishap.
“You’re Jacques’s sister?”
Natalie clicked her tongue. Wow. Her family really didn’t win the genetic lottery, huh?
Bonnie Fourside crossed her arms smugly. She mocked, “Heard my brother hasn’t called you in a week? I could arrange a little reunion. But only if you make your bastard son give up his spot in the national math competition so my boy can have
it.”
Her son, standing cockily beside her, sneered. “So what if you’re smarter, Chris? So what if you’re always at the top of the class! You’re still just some unloved bastard.”
Other parents nearby weren’t exactly strangers to Natalie either.

“Wasn’t Bonnie way out of line just now?”

“Out of line? Natalie chased Jacques for six years like a lovesick puppy. She would do anything to make him happy. That woman even gave him her whole company just to win him over
“She didn’t stop at that. She even raised Jacques’s child from another woman as if it were her own. Meanwhile, she treats her actual son like dirt. Bonnie only asks for a competition slot. I bet she’d eagerly hand it over.”
Natalie ignored the buzz around her. Her eyes narrowed darkly as she smiled at Bonnie. “What did you just call my son?”
And when her mother smiled like that, Yvonne knew anything could happen.
Yvonne had learned to spot the warning signs.
The little girl leaned over and warned Bonnie out of kindness. “Ms. Nasty, you’re totally toast.”
Bonnie didn’t take the kid seriously. She raised a brow, arms still crossed, and repeated, “That bastard–ahh!”
Before she could finish, Natalie snatched her hair.
Just as Natalie made a move, Yvonne picked up a pencil case from a nearby desk with practiced ease and passed it over. “Here. Mommy. This one’s sturdy. Won’t hurt your hand.”
Teamwork made the dream work.
The pencil case earned a heroic retirement. Bonnie’s lips were soon twice their size, bleeding and swollen.
“Apologize to my son now,” Natalie said, dragging her over by the hair until she was face–to–face with Christopher.
“You hit me? Really?” Bonnie shouted. “Good luck ever marrying my brother now. You’ll never be part of my family!”
“Oh, are you serious?”
Bonnie didn’t catch the tone. She thought Natalie was terrified by her threat. “Afraid now, huh? Then you better beg for mercy or else-
Before she could finish her words, Natalie grabbed a handful of chalk and shoved it into her mouth.
“If you don’t know how to apologize, I can teach you,” she said sweetly.
Then she slammed Bonnie’s head hard onto Christopher’s desk.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
It was disturbingly rhythmic.
Bonnie had never experienced such a forceful blow in her life. After several forceful blows, she passed out cold.
Natalie clapped the chalk dust from her hands, then turned her attention to Bonnie’s chubby son. She smiled again and asked, “Hey, Jumbo. Do you know how to apologize?”
The chubby boy started shaking in fear. All that swagger was gone. He nodded frantically and said, “I do! I do!”
“I’m sorry, Christopher,” he squeaked. Afraid of being beaten, he repeated it three times in a row.
Everyone in attendance was in complete shock.
Did Natalie just beat up Jacques’s sister? Is Natalie the same woman they all mocked as a simpt
While they were still trying to process what just happened, Natalie walked calmly to the classroom door, closed it, and locked it with a click.
Panic spread through the crowd at her action. Every parent grabbed their kid and backed away into the corners of the room
