Chapter 18 Divorced With Two Kids
Nelson shook his head and said, “I believe people should handle conflict privately. As long as no one falls out in the open or causes a scene in front of me, I don’t need to know about it”
With so many women in the office, drama was part of the package. Nelson didn’t have the time–or the patience–to deal with it. Therefore, he set the rule: settle things off the radar and keep it civil; slap each other if you must, but never in the
face.
“Understood,” Natalie said calmly.
She cast another glance at Jonathan sitting across the room.
The man was as calm as ever, he seemed fine.
Once Natalie was certain he was doing all right, she walked away.
Nelson, noticing Jonathan staring at him, leaned in and comforted him, “Don’t worry. Your queen is safe in my company, and no one dares touch her. She’s safe here.”
Jonathan responded, “You’re misinterpreting the situation. I’m worried about her hitting someone else.
“What? No way! Natalie’s gorgeous–how could she possibly be violent?” Nelson didn’t believe that. He clearly had a soft spot for beautiful women and saw them through rose–colored glasses.
But-
Thirty minutes later.
Smack!
A sharp slap echoed down the hallway. Natalie grabbed Lily by the hair, dragging her out of the office. Just as they turned a corner, they ran straight into Nelson.
“Mr. West! Please help me!” Lily cried out, her voice sickeningly sweet.
Nelson, still in shock, quickly recovered and averted his gaze. He pretended not to see a thing. “Aren’t the clients arriving soon? Let’s go greet them.”
The HR director didn’t catch on. “But, Boss, why would we be greeting the clients? That’s not our-
Before he could finish, Nelson had already vanished.
An hour later, an ambulance parked outside the building
Lily, stiff and shivering from the cold, was wheeled out on a stretcher by the EMTs.
She glared venomously at Natalie, her eyes burning with hatred. “Tm calling the cops! You assaulted me! I’ll make sure you go to prison!”
Natalie didn’t say a word, but Skye stepped forward instead. “Do you have any proof Ms. Solaria assaulted you?”
“There’s footage!” Lily snapped. “The security cameras must’ve caught her throwing me into the cold storage!”
Skye rebutted calmly, “Footage? I deleted all of that a long time ago.”
Natalie raised her brows in surprise at Skye’s initiative. But when Lily refused to back down, Natalie stepped closer and grabbed her neck.
“If you ever mess with me again, you won’t be riding in an ambulance next time you’ll be in a hearse.”
As soon as Natalie let her go, Lily’s eyes blazed with a mix of fear and fury, darkening into deep, bitter hatred.
Natalie walked away once the ambulance had left. Skye watched her in awe.

“Natalie! I heard Mr. West is hiring an assistant for you. Think I could be a good fit?”
Ever since Lily threw her under the bus, Skye had decided to switch sides for good
“No,” Natalie replied flatly. “I couldn’t stand a blockhead.”

Skye had no way to argue with that. Even her sister called her dense. She racked her brain for any redeeming skill. All were shot down–until she blurted out.
“I can read fortunes!”
Natalie paused mid–step, mildly intrigued. “Really? Go ahead”
Skye raised her hand and performed her trick quickly. “Natalie, you’re destined for wealth and power. Your fate says you’ll have five children!”
Natalie raised an eyebrow. Five?
She and Jonathan only had two. Where were the other three supposed to come from?
yep–definitely a con
She continued to walk away, but Skye frowned, puzzled. “Reborn from ashes? Have you been summoned into this world? Natalie, your chart says you’ve died once and you’re not from this timeline?”
Skye was still lost in the puzzle of Natalie’s bizarre fate when Natalie said over her shoulder.
“Didn’t you say you were switching sides? Then keep up.”
Skye eagerly scrambled after her.
Westvale Villa.
Jacques stared at Skye, who was wearing a pig mask. “And she is…”
Skye extended her hands, eyes bright with admiration. “Nice to meet you! I’m Ms. Oracle’s assistant!”
Natalie had prepped her beforehand.
The moment Skye found out Natalie was the Oracle of Stocks, she was ready to worship her like a saintess The
jacques barely spared her a glance, his arrogance evident.
Just an assistant–not worthy of his time.
“Oracle, the stock you asked me to buy? It just skyrocketed by 300%!” he said, his voice laced with a mix of excitement and regret.
If he had known it would soar like that, he never would’ve limited himself to just 50 million.
But Natalie had seen that coming.
Her expression was calm, and she said flatly. “In a few days, the biggest bull market in history will take place. The elite class in Regalia will be shaken up.”
Jacques’s eyes lit up. “I want to invest more.”
“You’re too late,” she said, checking her watch. “Besides, you were just playing around. A small–time player like you doesn’t deserve a seat at the main table.” She stood, “I have another appointment. Time to go.”
Jacques panicked. He wasn’t about to let this golden opportunity slip through his fingers.
“I’ll do it!” He clenched his teeth and blurted out. “Tomorrow, I’ll sell my shares of Solaria Croup and move all my capital into

that stock!”
Natalie watched him take the bail–but she wasn’t in any hurry to reel him in.
“You can’t just join the game whenever you want. If there are any extra shares, I’ll let you know, Wait for my call
Those words erased his last shred of doubt.
Very few people could stay level–headed when a fortune was dangling in front of them–especially someone as greedy as Jacques
Watching Natalie’s graceful walk as she moved toward the door, Jacques asked suddenly, “Mr. Oracle, are you married?”
Natalie paused. “Divorced. With two kids”
She and Jonathan were heading for divorce anyway. It wasn’t a lie.
Out of nowhere. Jacques added, “I’m single.”
Natalie caught the hungry look in his eyes and thought of one word–womanizer.
“You’re single? Then who’s this?” She asked innocently, nodding toward Courtney, who had just stepped into the room.
She intentionally stirred the pot, but Jacques misinterpreted her actions.
The Oracle of Stocks was one of the most sought–after names in business. Even Jonathan had tried to work with her. But she had turned down everyone–except him. To Jacques, that meant one thing: she must be in love with him.
Courtney’s face darkened, ready to speak up, but Jacques cut her off.
“Courtney? She’s just my sister.”
That old song lyric suddenly came back to Natalie’s mind. She’s just my sister.
She couldn’t help but find this amusing, her tone laced with sarcasm. “Your sister? Then what about your daughter?”
Jacques panicked, thinking she’d misunderstood. “That’s Courtney’s daughter from someone else. I just felt awful for them, so
I took them in.”
Courtney’s expression shifted quickly. Her fists clenched tightly as she trembled at her sides.
Skye leaned over and whispered to Natalie. “I checked his chart. Jacques isn’t meant to have children. That little girl might not be his.
Natalie’s smile grew wider at this. “Mr. Fourside really is such a kind soul.”
The sarcasm was heavy, but Jacques didn’t notice.
“I’ve always been that way, he said proudly. “By the way, I had the chef prepare a feast just for you. Mr. Oracle, would you to stay for dinner?”

He smiled slyly, eyes narrowed. Jacques had someone slip something special into the food–just a little something to warm things up
Since she liked him but was too shy to admit it, he figured he’d help push things along.
Just then, Natalie’s phone rang.
It was her daughter.
The moment she answered, Yvonne’s tearful voice filled the line. “Mommy! Daddy passed out! His body is burning up. Is Daddy going to die?!”
