The video was still set in Crystal Lounge’s opulent private room.[]
Archer sat next to Celeste, singing “Happy Birthday” to her with the gentlest expression.
Celeste wore my “Moonlight Mermaid dress, hands clasped together, eyes closed, making a wish while surrounded by a crowd of people.
After blowing out the candles, Archer asked softly. “What did you wish for?”
Celeste stuck out her tongue playfully, her voice sickeningly sweet.]
“Oh, Archer! My wish is super simple! I just want to order a few more dishes–my friends have never been to my birthday party before, and I want them to really enjoy themselves!“]
After hearing this, Archer’s face broke into an indulgent smile as he nodded approvingly.
“Okay, whatever you want.“[]
He reached out and affectionately ruffled her hair.]
The person filming–probably one of Celeste’s friends–let the camera shake as exaggerated cheering filled the background.[]
“Awwww!”
“Celeste, you’re so lucky!“]
The video ended there.
Immediately after, Celeste sent another text message with an attached image.]
[Thanks for your childhood friend, Daphnel][]
[You trained him well–really like him-]]
The image was a screenshot of a restaurant bill.
The menu items were densely packed, and the total had skyrocketed to seventy–five thousand dollars.
That was twenty–five thousand more than Crystal Lounge’s finy thousand minimum spend []
Finally, she added one more message:[]
[Thanks for treating us today! I had such a wonderful birthday!]]
She obviously thought the extra twenty five grand would automatically be charged to my prepaid account.]

The message sent, and she started another long session of “typing…”
This time it lasted a full three minutes.]
Then she deleted both of her previous messages.
I snorted with laughter.
With Celeste’s pathetic self–esteem and competitive streak, I’d bet money she was jumping up and down with rage right now. about to order even more expensive items to try to outspend me.
Too bad she didn’t know.
Archer’s last seventy–five thousand had just gone straight into my pocket.]
Now, I couldn’t wait to see how this pair of idiots was going to handle what came next.
