It was actually just a glass panel with green screen for the window view.
We had tons of takes that day.
Because Blake was sitting right in front of me.
Having a CEO staring at us through that glass made both me and my co–star completely on edge.
The final take that worked was only because my co–star was so nervous he bit my neck too hard.
My startled cry was totally real.
The director said: “Perfect, that’s the expression we need.”
After wrapping, I went to the bathroom to fix myself up.
My co–star and Blake were in the men’s room next door.
Their voices carried through the wall.
Blake asked him, “Did kissing Zara Hayes turn you on?”
My co–star sounded embarrassed and nervous: “Well, Zara’s gorgeous and has a great body, and with that kind of scene where I’m pinning her down… anyone would react, right?”
“So you deliberately messed up for more takes?”
“I wouldn’t dare…”
Not only did I hear all this, but the paparazzi caught it too.
They worked lightning fast – within ten minutes.
My name was trending, claiming my co–star and I had crossed the line from acting to reality.
The company told me not to clarify anything, to use the buzz to promote the show.
The crew even released a bunch of raw footage from our kissing scene outtakes.
The trending comments were brutal: [“Girl’s getting bold – the fourth and third leads are getting shipped while the main characters haven’t even started. Side characters stealing the spotlight now.“]
[“Not gonna lie, they actually have chemistry. That guy’s been blushing since the first take.“]
That same night, the whole crew had dinner together.
Blake gave Aria a box of expensive chocolates. It was from some foreign master craftsman – nearly impossible to get.
Uncle Winters had actually asked Blake to buy one for me to try.
I thought he had more boxes. Plus we’d been getting along pretty well lately.
I got carried away and called out, “Hey bro, where’s mine?”
Blake stared at me coldly: “Eight takes for one intimate scene and you still want candy? Go dream about it. That’s the only place you’ll get any.”
