Chapter 13
I frowned as I looked at Zachary. His eyes were bright, and he seemed very excited.
Zachary wanted to come over and hold my hand, but I avoided him.
Impatiently, I said, “Just say it if you have something to say. Don’t touch me. You’d better hurry up.
I still have work to do.”
He rubbed his hands and didn’t feel embarrassed.
“Stella, that child is not mine. Charlotte slept with someone else.
“That man was a fraud pretending to be wealthy. After Charlotte had a child with him, she
discovered his identity. Then she came up with such a solution.
“That day she was going to jump off the building to force me to marry her because that fraud found her and asked her for money again.
“Stella, I’m a victim. My mother and my sister are both victims.
“Stella, let’s start over…”
He became more and more excited, and I interrupted him, “So you agreed to marry Charlotte, deceived her to come back, and then handed her to that man, right?”
Zachary hesitated for a moment and did not answer my question.
Silence was the answer.
“You should go. I won’t start over with you. Please don’t come to disturb my work again.”
After saying that, I left.
“Stella, I couldn’t live without you. Can you give me a chance?”
I didn’t look back. “I used to think that I couldn’t live without you, but after leaving you, I’m still very happy. It’s just that you’re not used to it. Give yourself some time, and you will get used to it.”
I returned to the crew and continued with my work.
Zachary would frequently come to the crew and buy food and drinks for everyone.
After Michael had a conversation with Zachary, Zachary stopped coming.
He just stood far away and looked at me for the whole day.

After completing the filming and returning to the River City, I received a message from
“Tomorrow morning, the courthouse, nine o’clock.”
A smile appeared on my face, and I replied, “Okay.”
Cachary.
When I saw Zachary again, he was much more reserved and serious than before, rarely speaking or
smiling.
After getting divorced, he asked, “Stella, can we still be friends?”
I turned my back to him, waved my hand, and left. It was my response.
