Chapter 6
Finally, the trial day arrived.
Sawyer sat confidently at the defendant’s counsel table, with a visibly nervous Quinn beside him.
He thought this was just another desperate struggle from a sore loser.
However, when my attorney Sebastian Cross took the plaintiff’s seat, Sawyer’s composure cracked for the first time.
He half rose in shock, then sat back down at the clerk’s reminder.
His back was taut as a drawn bowstring.
Quinn had no idea who Sebastian Cross was, and still looked confidently in my direction.
I gave her a contemptuous glance before looking away.
Enjoy it while you can–you won’t be smiling much longer.
The judge called court to session.
Sebastian wasted no time on pleasantries, rising with a clear, powerful voice.
“Regarding the hot springs resort case appeal, we submit new evidence. First, the victim’s medical records were maliciously concealed–he was diagnosed with hypertension three years ago.”
“And here are photos showing the resort’s warnings that people with high blood pressure cannot use the hot springs or enter
the facilities.”
Then he handed thick copies of medical records and the resort’s liability waivers to the clerk.
Sawyer’s fingers clenched violently, nails nearly digging into his palms.
Sebastian’s gaze turned to Sawyer.
“We have obtained communication records between Attorney Blake and the victim’s family after the incident and before trial. His behavior constitutes instructing concealment of key evidence and malicious conspiracy to obstruct justice!”
“That’s slander! This is illegally obtained evidence!”
Sawyer shrieked, trying to interrupt.
“Objection overruled! Plaintiff’s counsel may continue.”
The judge said sternly.

Quinn’s face grew paler with Sebastian’s every word.
She trembled, trying to grab Sawyer’s sleeve.
Yet Sawyer was too preoccupied to notice her distress. His voice was hoarse as he desperately argued his case in court.
But faced with ironclad evidence, all rebuttals were pathetically weak.
Finally, the judge denied all of Sawyer’s motions.
The gavel fell
Sawyer lost.
Quinn collapsed in her chair, ashen–faced.
She knew her legal career was over.
However, this was just the appetizer.
Sebastian’s voice rang out again.
“We simultaneously tile an independent lawsuit against Sawyer Blake, charging him with using my client’s marital during the divorce cooling–off period to illegally withdraw ten million dollars.”

“His actions constitute theft and embezzlement. Here are bank records, forged authorization documents, and signature forgery analysis from the judicial identification center.”
Sawyer was utterly stunned.
Completely ignoring courtroom protocol, he walked toward me.
“What divorce cooling–off period? What the hell is he talking about?”
“When did we get divorced?”
Sawyer became increasingly unhinged.
When he saw the evidence in Sebastian’s hands, he went completely mad with his questioning.
“Aria! Have you lost your mind? We’re not divorced! That money was urgently needed for firm operations! It’s our joint property! What gives you the right to sue me?!”
The courtroom erupted in chaos.
Bailiffs rushed in and restrained agitated Sawyer.
At that moment. Sebastian pulled out copies of two documents from his folder.
Chapter 6
“Mr. Blake, my client already had the divorce papers delivered to you.”
Sebastian displayed the evidence before him.
One was a divorce certificate with a bright red official seal.
The other was the document he’d barely glanced at–the divorce agreement hidden at the bottom of the “settlement papers.” which he’d signed with his own hand!
“Impossible! They’re fake! All fakel
“I never signed any divorce agreement!”
The judge’s voice rang out.
“Please provide evidence to support your claim, defendant.”
Sawyer was thunderstruck, his whole body shaking violently.
He stared fixedly at the date on the divorce certificate–his mother’s birthday
He suddenly understood what I’d had my assistant deliver.
If he’d just opened it and looked, he wouldn’t have been caught so unprepared.
He’d practically pushed himself into this corner!
Knowing his fate, Sawyer completely lost it.
“Aria! You bitch! You set me up! I’ll kill you!”
He rushed desperately toward the gallery, screaming and cursing hysterically.
Not a trace left of the elite attorney he once was.
Bailiffs quickly moved in to forcibly restrain him again, creating complete chaos.
Amid Sawyer’s desperate roars and the judge’s stern gavel, everything was decided.
He should have been a top–tier lawyer.
But from now on, no one would ever hire him for a case again.
His career and dignity that he’d taken such pride in–all gone.
