He didn’t have to work on the weekend, so Elaine woke up late. After breakfast, he carried his bag and went out, planning to buy some daily necessities at the supermarket.
Rubin sent her to the supermarket and was ordered away by her.
She carried the basket to the daily necessities section and took two packs of her usual brand of sanitary napkins and other things.
Just as she was paying the bill at the counter, she heard a surprised voice. “Ms. Valentine?”
She turned around and saw that it was Mamie. Mamie was wearing a red knee–length dress today. Her makeup was exquisite and charming, making her look even more noble and gorgeous.
She smiled and greeted her. “Ms. Howard. What a coincidence.““Yes, it’s quite a coincidence.” Mamie smiled gently and kindly. She glanced at the things on the counter and placed her basket on the counter. She said to the cashier, “Pay together.” As she spoke, she took out her card from her wallet and placed it on the counter.
Elaine waved his hand. “No need. We’ll still pay our own way.” After all, they were not familiar with each other.

She couldn’t find a good excuse to decline, so she could only say, “Okay.”
Mamie’s car was parked outside the supermarket. It was a red Maserati. The two of them placed their things in the back seat. Mamie got into the driver’s seat and Elaine got into the passenger seat.
The international shopping mall was not far. It only took twenty minutes. After getting out of the car, Mamie held her arm again. Elaine no longer had the initial disgust and let her hold his arm.
When they entered the mall, the salesperson immediately welcomed

As soon as she came out, a salesperson immediately went up to her with a flattering smile and praised, “Ms. Howard, this dress suits you very well. “Mamie walked around in front of the mirror and looked very satisfied with the dress. She suddenly thought of Elaine, who came with her. She turned around and called her. She looked at her expectantly and asked, “How is it?”
