The Lady Boss smiled gently. Her smile was quiet and peaceful. “When you’re bored, read a book. It’s easy to kill time.”
The lady boss returned to the book room. Elaine lazily flipped through the book and occasionally took a sip of coffee.
It was almost lunchtime, but Jackson and Daniel were still nowhere to
be seen.
Horacio came back and saw a cup of coffee beside Elaine’s hand. She picked it up and was about to drink it when she said, “I’ve drunk that before.”
He was unimpressed. “You don’t have an infectious disease.” He took a sip, then put it back in place. “Here you go.”
Elaine was speechless and looked at her in disdain. She did not have the habit of sharing a cup of coffee with others. “I’ll give it all to you. “Horacio took it with a smile. His mouth was dry, and this cup of coffee could solve his urgent problem.
He brought them to Elaine one after another as if he was presenting a treasure. He said happily, “Look at the scenery. When the resort is completed, I’ll definitely come here for a two–day tour.”

Elaine closed the book in his hand and was about to say, “Not bad, count me in when the time comes.” The moment he looked up, he saw Jackson and Daniel slowly walking over from the other side of the iron chain bridge.
She raised her chin and Horacio followed her gaze. When they crossed the bridge, they hurried to meet them. “Mr. Mason, Daniel.”
Jackson’s eyes darkened when he saw the camera hanging around Horacio’s neck. His handsome face was obviously unhappy.
Summit Group was in the eye of the storm because of a complaint from nearby residents in the southern part of the city. Jackson saw Horacio carrying it with him and thought that he was a paparazzi from some newspaper. When Elaine saw that the situation was not right, he immediately took two steps forward and took out a recording pen. He said to Daniel, “Daniel, we are Vibe Magazine. We heard that you are about to be promoted and want to interview you. I wonder if it’s convenient for you?”
Daniel frowned slightly and did not stop walking. “I’m sorry, I don’t accept any interviews from any magazine.”

As she watched Daniel walk further and further away, she shouted anxiously, “Daniel, please give us a chance.”
After Daniel and Jackson left, Elaine and Horacio returned the way they came. Today, they finally had a chance to talk to Daniel, but they still couldn’t complete the mission. Both of them looked depressed.
After leaving the resort, Elaine asked Horacio to return to the city first because she still had some personal matters to deal with. She stood under the shade of the tree by the roadside and waited.
Jackson and Daniel each took their own car to the hotel. Cyrus drove out of the parking lot and Jackson got in. He leaned back in the seat and rubbed his eyebrows. He asked, “How did she get into the resort?”
When Cyrus heard his question, he said timidly, “Ms. Valentine called you before. I answered it. I brought her in.”
Jackson took out his phone and looked at the call history. There was indeed a call from her. He put his phone back into his pocket and leaned back in his seat to rest.
Cyrus had just driven a distance when a person suddenly jumped out from the side of the road and stopped their car. Fortunately, he reacted quickly and stepped on the brakes. Jackson, who was in the back row, held the back of the seat in front of him to stabilize his body. He frowned. “What’s going on?”
