Chapter 98 Broken Wall
Chapter 98 Broken Wall
Which meant–unless Alice gave her consent, no one could break through that firewall.
No one.
So when the system suddenly screamed with a breach alert, it felt like the sky cracked open.
“Alert! We’ve got an intruder! They’re just one step away from breaching the core system!”
The moment the siren blared, every single tech staff turned to Alice.
She didn’t panic.
But she frowned hard
She trusted that firewall with everything she had.

Meanwhile, up in the executive boardroom, a high–level meeting was underway.
The news came fast and loud. A secretary rushed in, nearly tripping, only to be snapped at by Ruby. “What are you doing barging in here?”
The poor secretary looked like she might cry. “Ms. Randall… If the breach goes through, our data’s gone. Every confidential file–gone.”
Ruby turned to the others.
“Alice told us herself–this firewall’s top–grade.
“She said even Troy, who tried using the internal keys to steal data and sell it, couldn’t get past it.
“So I believe her.”
That meeting hadn’t even been about the breach–They’d been there trying to clean up the fashion department mess.
The smaller influencer had already been silenced using the Nolan Group’s resources.
But two major problems were still standing.
One–Levi. Hard to buy. Harder to shut up.
If he leaked anything, the group would face way more than just fines.
Two–Christina Crane. The top dog. She only cared about cash.
And right now, no one in the company wanted to spend. So the whole thing sat there, stuck.
And none of the higher–ups wanted to get involved.
was too risky. Too expensive.
But now this–this breach–shifted the spotlight.
Someone finally spoke
“Well, if Ms. Spencer says it’s unbreakable, then who the hell has the skill to break it?
Another one chimed in

“Troy knew his stuff. If he couldn’t break it, no outsider can
“You think Alice’s the one behind this?”
The secretary spoke again, voice low.
“Ms. Spencer’s already in the office. She’s with the tech team right now.”
Which meant–if she really did it, she wouldn’t be here.
One of the execs let out a cold snort.
“She might look like some country girl, but she’s tough as nails.”
Another leaned in, voice sharp. “She hides behind that sweet act, but who knows what she’s really after?
“Maybe she’s just sitting in there, waiting to see how we all react.”
One more voice joined in, slow and mocking. “Ms. Randall, you sure know how to pick a daughter–in–law.”
Ruby let out a quiet breath.
“Didn’t think we’d hit a snag like this. Let’s head to the tech team and ask them directly.”
The execs had always been wary of Alice dropping in from nowhere.
Back when Troy caused that mess, it had shut their mouths for a while.
Now that something had finally gone wrong, they were going in for the kill

The scene turns to the IT Department
Alice peeled open a wrapper and slipped the lollipop into her mouth.
She booted up her playlist and leaned back in her chair.
A few of the tech staff had walked up to her, but she didn’t even open her eyes. She just sat there, quiet and still, like she didn’t hear a thing.
“She really thinks her system can’t be cracked?”
“This whole thing feels shady. What if she planned it herself?”
“That wouldn’t make sense. She doesn’t get anything out of it.”
“But doesn’t the system have that tracking feature?”
“Yeah. It tracked down Mr. Hayden when he was still around. It even turned on his webcam without him finding out. That’s how we figured it out.”
“So now we’re just waiting for the system to show who did it
“But the attack started when Troy hit the system. The camera should’ve kicked in right away. Why hasn’t it caught anything
ye
“Hey, look at the door.”
Ruby stepped in, dressed in a cream–colored suit with nude stockings and black heels. She looked crisp and confident
A group of senior staff followed behind her, all with cold, tight faces.

They looked like they were ready to burn the place down.
Eric and Daniel from design showed up too, along with some employees who just wanted to see the drama unfold.
Daniel stood near the back, uneasy.
“What if the enemy’s tech is actually stronger than Mrs. Nolan’s!”
Eric’s reply was cool and steady. “Not a chance”
“You put that much faith in her skills?”
Eric’s answer came without missing a beat.
“She wouldn’t be this chill if we were facing a real problem.”
Daniel looked into the room.
Alice was still sitting there, calm and laid–back, like none of it mattered. His eyes widened.
She didn’t even flinch. That kind of composure was unreal.
