He took a deep breath and glanced at the clock on the wall.
There were ten minutes left before Eric and Alice had to leave for work.
Henry got up, very serious and solemn.
“Mr. Nolan, no matter what you do today, your design won’t get Halsey’s approval.”
Alice’s eyes narrowed dangerously.
Halscy was her brother Damon’s mentor. He had even praised Damon on X before, calling him his favorite student.
To outsiders, it seemed like no matter what proposal the design department submitted, Halsey would at least give them some face.
At the very least, securing the collaboration shouldn’t be a problem.
But if they couldn’t gain Halsey’s approval no matter what, it wouldn’t just mean that Eric failed to secure the collaboration.
People would inevitably start to suspect that Alice was sabotaging things on purpose.
After all, they were siblings by blood. How could her own brother possibly be out to harm her?

He closed his eyes slightly and enjoyed the scent.
Then Alice’s calm voice came from beside him.
“You don’t seem to care about those things.”
There was a hint of hesitation in her tone.
It was as if she were about to make a decision based on his attitude.
Eric didn’t open his eyes.
His thin lips moved ever so slightly as he spoke with his usual cold voice.
“I just want to take back what’s mine. If they’re unwilling to stay, then there’s no reason to keep them.
The implication was clear.
He could fire everyone and rebuild the Nolan Group from scratch.
Such a move would be nothing short of a complete overhaul,
It would hurt his enemies–but not without costing him greatly as well.
It would definitely do more harm than good.
Alice’s gaze flickered, then she suddenly pulled out her phone and fiddled with something.
Moments later, she shoved it back into her bag in frustration.
