(Chapter 127 She Is Mine
Alarion slows his pace, realization dawning in his gaze.
“People stared and whispered about the girl who couldn’t even keep her uniform in one piece.”
My voice drops as I recount that painful moment.
“And then you showed up. Without a word, you took off your jacket and draped it over my shoulders.”
Even now, I can recall the comfort that act provided me.
“You told everyone to leave me alone and escorted me to the nurse’s office.”
Alarion has now halted, his complexion paling.
“You never demanded your jacket back. You simply left it with me, as if it didn’t matter.”
I face him fully.
“That single act of compassion from the future Alpha of Thunder Pack meant the world to someone like me.”
“It seemed like nothing, but it made me see that beneath all your bravado, you were truly kind.”
Alarion’s face transforms with utter astonishment, his wolf’s scent shifting to one of disbelief.
“That’s when I realized I was completely yours,” I confess
“Is something wrong?” I ask, noticing how tense he’s suddenly become.
Before he can respond to my admission, his entire body goes rigid.
His eyes fly wide with shock as he notices someone moving towards us across the field.
“Why is he here?” Alarion mutters, a growl under his breath..
I follow his gaze, feeling surprise bloom within me.
Daelor strides toward us, his confident energy and unmistakable Alpha aura evident even from afar.
“Daelor?” I call out, genuinely puzzled to see him.
“How did you figure out I was here?”
Daelor walks up wearing a placid smile, but the sharp glint in his silver–gray eyes reveals a hidden threat.
He responds smoothly, “Your aunt told me you had a ‘date‘ with Alarlon earlier today.”
His gaze flickers deliberately between Alarion and me..
“She seemed rather worried about your well–being, so I figured I should look in on you.
The suggestion darkens Alarion’s expression instantly.
“This doesn’t concern you, Briarhallow,” he growls, the surge of his Alpha scent filling the air with aggression.
Daelor, however, meets him with infuriating tranquility.
“I’m afraid it does concern me,” he answers, not losing his composure for a moment.
While Alarion’s anger intensifies, Daelor remains perfectly unruffled.
“Anything that involves Aelira is my responsibility now.”
“You have no right to her!” Alarion snaps, his wolf instincts coming alive beneath his skin.
“She’s not bound to you!”
Daelor’s face shifts ever so slightly, his silver–gray eyes glinting with certainty.
Without any warning, he drapes his arm around my shoulders and draws me in closer.
“And why shouldn’t it be me?” he says, voice radiating cool certainty that makes my heart stutter.

“Aelira belongs to me now.
The declaration crashes over us like thunder.
“You–Alarion’s features twist in stunned disbelief.
His amber eyes dart back and forth between Daelor and me.
“Aelira, is this true? Are you and he–7”
His Alpha pheromones spike out of control, tangled with outrage and heartbreak.
I answer Daelor’s claim without hesitation, my calm surprising even myself.
“Yes,” I reply, my hand instinctively shielding my belly where our unborn pup rests.
Despite the enormity of the falsehood, my heartbeat stays even. This elaborate performance between Daelor and me has tumed almost second nature.
We rely on it to keep unwanted eyes and meddling hands away.
But Alarion refuses to accept what he hears.
“No!” he cries, luriging forward in a desperate attempt to seize my hand.
“This isn’t possible! Aelira, please tell me it’s a liel
Daelor’s Alpha strength, however, blocks him easily.
He steps between us, his powerful body forming a shield.
“Alarion, this is your last warning,” Daelor says, his tone dropping to an icy command that chills the air around us. “Keep away from my mate.”
His silver–gray eyes blaze with the absolute authority of an Alpha King.
“If you want to plot again, deal with me directly,” he warns, his voice turning even more threatening.
“Don’t lay a finger on my Aelira. She owes you nothing at all.”
The possessive emphasis on “my Aelira” sends an unexpected tremor through me.
“If you ever question our bond again, confront me like the Alpha you pretend to be.”
With these final words, Daelor turns, his presence wrapping around me as he leads me away from Alarion.
Suddenly, I clutch his arm, anxiety rushing through me.
“Wait, what about my brother Jornic? Alarion claimed he was holding him-”
Daelor instantly faces me, his expression reassuring.
“Your brother is safe now, Aelira. There’s nothing to fear.”
“Really?” I stop, startled by his confidence.
Relief starts to seep in, though I can barely believe it.
“What happened?”
Daelor glances back at Alarion, wearing a faint, mocking smile that highlights his Alpha King dominance. 1Before I came to find you, I already sent George Leach to extract your brother from whatever trap Alarion set.” A rush of relief and happiness floods my heart.
My pregnant wolf settles with a deep, satisfied hum, finally able to unwind now that Jomic’s safety is assured. “Right this moment, he’s probably back at your aunt’s, confused about why everyone is so worried.”

“Are you serious?” I gasp, barely able to accept such incredible news.
Daelor’s gentle laugh rings out, mirroring my own sudden delight.
His commanding Alpha scent envelopes me, offering a sense of security I haven’t felt all day.
He reaches over, softly tapping my nose with a surprising gentleness.
“It’s absolutely true,” he assures me with warmth.
“It’s more authentic than pure moonstone–no counterfeits are tolerated in my
lands.”
