S: Ment
Roderic glares at Daelor from the hospital floor, his eyes ignited with rage.
“How dare you hurt me?” he gasps, struggling to regain his footing.
“Daelor, do you think I won’t inform your father about the way you’ve become just for a she–wolf?”
The threat lingers ominously, but Daelor responds in a way Roderic does not anticipate.
Instead of retreating, Daelor scoffs and begins methodically rolling up his sleeves.
His formidable Alpha aura fills the hospital corridor like an impending storm.
“Fine, since you say I hit you, I’ll take responsibility for nothing!” Daelor’s voice is chillingly calm.
“I might as well make it real so you can’t fabricate accusations out of nothing!”
Every action Daelor takes radiates a sense of menacing strength and aggression. His eyes are as cold
as steel.
At the sight of Daelor’s intimidating stance, Roderic becomes instantly unsettled. His wolf instinctively recognizes the dominant Alpha threat.
“You! Stay back!” Roderic stutters.
Esther Riven quickly steps forward, placing herself between the two Alphas.
“Daelor, Roderic is just spouting nonsense out of anger,” she implores. “Don’t stoop to his level…”
Daelor’s gaze moves to Esther, and his expression softens slightly.
“I thought he sounded quite serious,” he remarks. “He doesn’t seem to be talking nonsense at all.”
“Daelor…” Esther begins, only to be interrupted by a sudden commotion behind us.
Suddenly, my arm is gripped from behind with a vice–like force.
Startled, I turn around to meet amber eyes brimming with frantic intensity.
Alarion?
In a panic, I attempt to free my arm, my wolf whimpering anxiously within me.
“Alarion, are you out of your mind? Let me go!” I shout.

“Aelira, are you pregnant?” he bellows.
The words hit me like a physical blow, leaving me frozen in my spot.
I could hardly comprehend what I had just heard. How did he come to know?
“Pregnant?” Esther’s voice trembles with surprise.
Her eyes widen in disbelief, yet I notice a flicker of joy beginning to emerge on her face.
“Aelira, are you truly pregnant?”

I believed I had successfully diverted his suspicions earlier, but I never anticipated Alarion uncovering
the truth!
“Aelira, you’re expecting my pup, aren’t you? I’m going to be a father!” Alarion is filled with
uncontrollable excitement.
His amber eyes ignite with a possessive triumph, as if my pregnancy suddenly reestablishes my belonging to him.
At that moment, Daelor strides forward and seizes my other wrist, his expression dangerously intense.
“Release her this instant,” he orders.
Nonetheless, Alarion tightens his grip on my shoulder, his claws extending slightly as a warning.
He shows no sign of letting me go.
Daelor’s gaze freezes to icy severity upon seeing Alarion’s claws near my skin.
Without another word, he delivers a devastating punch fueled by his Alpha strength.
Esther gasps in horror at the impact.
The force twists Alarion’s face violently to the side, quickly followed by a merciless kick to his lower
abdomen that sends him hurtling backward.
His pained howl resonates through the hospital corridor.
“Daelor, what are you doing?” Esther rushes toward Alarion, her face filled with distress.
She turns to Daelor with accusatory eyes. “Why such brutality?”
Daelor’s punch and kick unleash all of his Alpha force; half of Alarion’s face instantly begins to bruise

Blood trickles from the corner of his mouth.
He wipes the blood from his lips with his thumb and then lunges at Daelor with a vicious snarl.
Daelor employs his Alpha King combat training, executing brutal, lethal maneuvers intended to incapacitate.
Each strike targets Alarion’s face and critical points.
Despite his Thunder Pack Alpha training, Alarion finds himself outmatched by Daelor’s superior combat skills.
After suffering several punishing blows from Daelor, Alarion manages to seize his shoulder and twist it back in a desperate counterattack.
Both Alphas growl fiercely, their wolves engaged in territorial warfare within the hospital corridor.
Esther paces anxiously on the sidelines.
“Stop it, both of you, please!” she begs in desperation.
But neither Alpha pays her any heed; they remain locked in primal territorial conflict.
“Aelira, you have to make them stop!” Esther rushes to me, grasping my hand.
I understand that Alarion cannot compete against Daelor’s superior Alpha strength. If they persist in
their fight, Alarion risks substantial harm.
However, noticing more people taking out their mobile phones to record the brawl, I realize this could
lead to significant trouble for Daelor.
“Enough!” I command with every bit of authority I can muster.
Surprisingly, my single command halts both Alphas in their tracks.
Daelor immediately releases Alarion’s collar, though his eyes remain fierce with protective anger.
“I warn you,” he says in a low, menacing tone. “Stay away from her!”
Alarion, bruised and swollen, remains unyielding.
“Daelor, you’re the one who should keep your distance,” he states defiantly, breathless.
“Aelira is carrying my pup, we…”

Alarion’s expression tightens, clearly having doubts about my words.
“Aelira, stop hiding the truth from me.” His tone carries an urgency.
“Besides me, who else could possibly be the father of your pup?”
I press my lips together, momentarily at a loss for words since I genuinely do not know who the father
of the pup in my womb is.
But I am absolutely certain that this pup does not belong to Alarion!
Noticing my silence, Alarion’s icy gaze shifts toward Daelor, his Alpha pheromones spiking with
aggression.
“You can’t possibly claim it’s his, can you?” His voice oozes with disdain. “Do you really think I would buy that?”
Yet Daelor responds with a confident smirk.
“Aelira is carrying my pup,” he states smoothly.
I suddenly raise my eyes to Daelor, my wolf stirring restlessly inside me.
Even though I realize he is making this claim to quell Alarion’s accusations, he shouldn’t utter such
dangerous nonsense regarding a matter of this gravity!
“Do you expect me to believe that?” Alarion struggles to rise, blood still seeping from his mouth.
Despite his battered condition, his natural Alpha dominance allows him to project a powerful
presence.
“Daelor, don’t be ridiculous. Aelira and I are true mates!”
His voice resonates with conviction.
“What transpired before is exclusively our business. Whether it’s about debt or betrayal, I will rectify it.
You have no right to interfere!”
“Alarion, stop!” I give him an icy stare, my wolf softly snarling within me.
“Understand this! Our mate bond has been broken!”
“I wish I could take it back.” Alarion gazes at me with desperate, pleading eyes.

“Aelira, I regretted my actions long ago. Let’s have a new marking ceremony. Can we start anew?”
My chest rises and falls rapidly. I can’t comprehend why he remains so resistant to reason!
It’s as if he isn’t hearing a single word I say!
“Alarion, I’ll say this one final time,” I manage through clenched teeth. “This pup does not belong to
you!”
I inhale deeply, striving to quell my emotions and my wolf’s mounting agitation.
“And I will never accept being marked by you again. You should completely abandon that thought!”
“Then why did you cancel the termination procedure?” Alarion retorts.
His amber eyes sparkle with triumph, as if he has caught me in a contradiction.
“You must be hesitant to let go of this pup, right? Can you truly bear the thought of this pup being born
without a father?”
“Who says this pup lacks a father?” Daelor interjects coldly.
His Alpha presence intensifies significantly.
“I am the father!”
Seeing the crowd in the hospital lobby grow larger, their mobile phones capturing every dramatic
moment, I quickly seize Daelor’s arm.
My wolf urges me to escape this public display.
“Let’s move,” I say with urgency.
Daelor’s keen gaze sweeps over the crowd, clearly recognizing my worry about the spreading rumors.
However, instead of simply nodding in agreement, he unexpectedly takes my hand.
As I stand there, caught off guard by the warmth of his touch, he gently entwines our fingers.
In full sight of everyone, he leads me away, confidently maneuvering through the throng of spectators.
After stepping into his luxury SUV adorned with the Nightshade Pack emblem, I’m still grappling with the shock of his audacious public gesture.
With Daelor starting the engine, silence envelops us. The air in the vehicle thickens with unspoken
tension.

“Thanks for your help back there, Daelor…” I finally shatter the quiet.
My wolf continues to feel restless after the confrontation.
“You believe I helped you?” Daelor turns to meet my gaze head–on.
His eyes glow with a profound intensity, as if attempting to look straight into my very soul.
A wave of anxiety washes over me suddenly.
What does he mean by that?
