Chapter 91
“Mr. Hartwell, I’m also very glad you called,” Kaneeta said softly.
“I… I’ll wait for you to come back safely.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Woodrow’s breathing
suddenly became rapid.
“Alright,” he replied hoarsely. “I will come back safe and sound.”
The busy tone of the ended call sounded. Kaneeta held her
phone for a long time, unable to put it down.
Meanwhile, on Woodrow’s side, the moment he hung up, his
entire aura changed instantly. He lifted his eyes slightly, and a
ruthless presence immediately filled the air around him.
The foreign man crouching at his feet couldn’t help but shiver.
“I–asking me is useless, I really don’t know where Dr. Locke is…”
Before he could finish, he was struck hard with a stick once
again, and couldn’t help but let out another howl.
Woodrow looked down at him from above, as if he were truly
looking at a dead pig.
Chapter 91
Theodore stood to the side, bending down to whisper in his ear,
“Mr. Hartwell, this man is incredibly stubborn.”
Woodrow tapped the armrest of the leather seat with his
fingertips in an unhurried rhythm.
He said coldly, “It’s not that he’s stubborn–it’s that you haven’t
been ruthless enough.“”
“Understood,” Theodore replied immediately, catching his
meaning.
They were speaking, but the foreign man clearly understood.
He began to tremble violently, cold sweat soaking his clothes. A
whimper escaped his throat, and blood seeped from his wrists,
which were tied behind his back–where Dr. Locke’s custom
watch should have been, there was now only a purplish bruise
from the restraints.
He truly hadn’t expected that Woodrow would have him tied
up the moment he got off the plane.
It was obvious they had been prepared for this.
“I really don’t know!” the man tried one last desperate struggle.
“I’m just a small fry in the organization. That watch–I begged
for it with great effort! Only a few higher–ups know where Dr.
Locke is. After all, they’re planning to use her to demand

ransom from the Hartwell family!”
Seraphina had been kidnapped by a local criminal organization
during the riots.
Originally, they intended to sell her, but by chance, they
discovered from her phone that she was connected to the
Hartwell Group.
Even though their area was extremely remote, they had still
heard of the famous Hartwell Group.
So they decided to demand ransom from the Hartwell Group.
Of course, true to their usual methods-
Even if the Hartwell Group paid the ransom, they would never
release the hostage.
Woodrow let out a cold laugh.
At that very moment, Theodore bent down and drew a military
knife from his boot. The blade flashed a silver arc under the
light, slicing off a lock of hair near the man’s ear with precision.
The man screamed instinctively. The feeling of teetering on the
edge of death was truly unbearable.
Theodore used the tip of the knife to lift the man’s collar,

revealing a hideous branded scar on the back of his neck.
“I’ll count to three,” Woodrow said, his tone as calm as if he were
discussing tomorrow’s weather. “If you don’t talk, I’ll feed you to
the vultures in the desert as an appetizer.”

“Neeta! It’s all my fault, punish me as harshly as you want!”
Upon learning the truth from Kaneeta, Cora nearly collapsed
onto her bed.
Heaven knows how she could have misheard!
She had actually mistaken Woodrow for Miguel…
“You,” Kaneeta said helplessly, tapping her on the forehead,
“You really can’t be trusted after drinking.”
That night, Cora must have been drunk and muddled, and
misheard everything.
“Actually, it’s not entirely my fault,” Cora said weakly. “I clearly heard them discussing Miguel’s art exhibition… I just didn’t
expect they’d talk about two people and two things at the same
time.”
