Arme had not yet recovered from the sudden surprise when she was let down.
She watched as Garrett’s figure gradually receded into the distance, propping herself up from the ground and slowly standing up. Just as she was about to catch up, she suddenly remembered something, swiftly turned around, and triumphantly looked at Ruth.
“Ruth, I have always said it, you have no chance of winning against me!”

She was about five centimeters taller than Anne, so with just a slight downward glance, she could see the arrogance in Anne’s eyes.

After saying that, she didn’t look at Anne again and confidently stood up
As she turned her head, Ruth saw Liam, who was lying in front of the window with a displeased expression on his face.

“Why didn’t you call me when you were fighting? Did your hand hurt?”

Watching him being so serious, Ruth felt both helpless and found him quite adorable.

Liam held his anger inside and refused to take the opportunity she offered. Ruth had no choice but to change the subject.

“First, I went to Echoland, and then I flew to Pondbourne.”
“Ecluoland? What did you go there for?”
Liam finally raised his gaze and glanced at her, his eyes filled with a hint of indulgence and compromise that he couldn’t resist.
“Wasn’t that watch an heirloom from grandma? Of course, it should be repaired first. Otherwise, she would be so sad when you take me to see her.”
Ruth didn’t expect him to be so thoughtful and considerate, and a warm feeling surged in her heart
But yesterday she checked the watch on her way here, and it seemed that it couldn’t be fixed. She didn’t want to make another wasted trip.
