Abigail, who was standing not far away, saw Gabriel looking lost and dejected. She approached him and asked with concern.
“Gabriel, why is your face so pale? Are you feeling unwell?”
Gabriel snapped back to reality and looked at the warm palm pressed against his arm. He slowly withdrew his hand and said, “I didn’t sleep well last
night.”
The photographer had been waiting for half an hour, but Joseph and Isabella were still not showing up.
Isabella’s mother was so angry that her heart ached. While Isabella helped her sit down slowly, she cursed, “She asked us to take a family photo, and then she gave as a cold look. She accused us of being partial and wanted to compare everything with you!”
Just as the smag smile on Abigail’s face lasted only a few seconds, Gabriel couldn’t help but retort, “Do you treat her like your own kid? No wonder Isabella wants to leave!
As the words fell, a deathly silence enveloped the studio. Abigail bit her lip, her face filled with a wounded expression as she gazed at Gabriel
Gabriel choked on his words, frustratedly grabbing a handful of hair. He looked into Abigail’s teary eyes and opened his mouth, saying, “Abby, let’s cancel the engagement. The person I love is not you.”
Gabriel’s words exploded like fireworks next to Abigail’s ears.
“What do you mean the person who you love is not me!” Abigail’s face was streaming with two lines of tears, her nails tightly pinching herself. “Gabriel, It’s not just one or two days! It has been a whole six years for us!”
Gabriel moved his lips and looked at that familiar face. It was strange because, in the past, Gabriel couldn’t stand to see Abigail crying
But now, when he was looking at Abigail, all that soft–heartedness and tenderness was nowhere to be found. Instead, there was impatience coming from deep within
Gabriel suddenly remembered what Isabella had said before.
“I hated Abigail when she cried because my mom would bear me
Gabriel remembered this sentence for a lifetime, so he also subconsciously didn’t want Abigail to shed tears. He was afraid that Isabella would be hurt.
Gabriel lowered his head and slowly said, “I’m sorry.”
Upon hearing these words, Abigail suddenly felt weak all over.
Ava, feeling sorry for Abigail, quicly embraced her in her arms and frowned disapprovingly, saying, “Gabriel, you left Isabella six years ago, and now you want to leave Abby as well. It’s a bit unreasonable, isn’t it?”
Robert also disagreed and said, “Marriage is a big matter after all. How can you just cancel it?”
Isabella’s mother stood up abruptly, a trace of disgust flashing across her face. “Did Isabella tell you something? Or were you seduced by that slut again?” Gabriel frowned as he listened, his face showing impatience. But deep inside, he felt immense heartache for Isabella.
At this moment, he realized slowly that the person he had been deeply in love with all these years was Isabella. He would get angry because he saw Joseph’s meticulous care for Isabella, and his heart would ache because they kissed under the falling cherry blossoms.
So he grew more and more disgusted with Isabella, who liked him but later fell in love with another man.
Fortunately, Isabella came to know the true face of Joseph and left without any hesitation.
He wanted to find Isabella, confess his love to her, and propose to her.
Gabriel disregarded the obstruction of Robert and Ava and left, leaving behind Abigail standing in place, who was unable to control her tears. Isabella, who was far away in the Rose Manor in a foreign country, had no idea that after she left, two men in the capital went crazy.
Joseph couldn’t find Isabella, on he went to the police station to report it but was told that there was no such person as Isabella in the world. Joseph couldn’t believe his cars.
He couldn’t believe that Isabella would be so heartless. They were so happy together, having been together for six years. How could she just leave him because of one thing?
Ioseph didn’t believe it. Isabella clearly loved him so much. How could she possibly bear to leave lilm? Chapter 10
“The statt over there informed me that Ms. Hall went to close her household account the day before yesterday.”
“Sorry, Mr. Davis. We can’t find her either.”
When Joseph walked out of the police station, he looked up at the sky and felt that it was all dark.
He still couldn’t believe until now that Isabella had really left him.
But it didn’t matter. He would find Isabella
After finding her, he would spend the rest of his life loving her.
