Originally, Kate noticed that I had been gone for a long time and sent me a WhatsApp message.
But I didn’t reply to her message, and she felt something was wrong.
She called Deshawn and Andres to wake them up and asked them to look for me along the way.
When they found me, they happened to witness the scene where Diego was beating me up!
Diego was suffocated by Deshawn’s T–shirt.
The fists also rained down on Diego, hitting him hard. “Come on, talk! What do you want to chat with my sister about? Just talk to me, talk as much as you can!”
One punch, followed by another punch.
Diego screamed in pain, “Brother, brother, I was wrong, I spoke out of turn, please don’t hit me!”
Deshawn ignored him and called Andres over, saying, “Do you have any food left in your stomach? Feed him some.”
Andres frowned, “I just went to the bathroom at noon, and now it’s gone.”
Deshawn asked again, “Can you pull it out?”
Andres thought for a moment, “Why don’t I give it a try?”
Diego held onto his legs, begging desperately, “Big brother, big brother, I was wrong! I won’t dare anymore. I really won’t dare next time.”
Deshawn yanked the clothes off his head, pressed it down, and forced him to kneel in my direction.
“What’s the use of apologizing to me? You have to apologize to my sister. If my sister doesn’t forgive you, you’ll just have to take a beating. Do you understand?”
Diego was beaten and cried bitterly, kneeling in front of me and knocking his head frantically.
“Little beauty, little beauty, I’m sorry—”
Smack! Deshawn slapped him on the back of his head.
“Do you also call your mom ‘little beauty‘? Change the nickname!”
Diego was dazed from being beaten. “I was wrong, I was wrong, miss. It’s all my fault. I won’t dare to do it again in the future. I’ll avoid you whenever I see you, okay?”
Deshawn pressed his hand against the back of his neck and looked at me, asking simply, “Do you want to slap him a few times to let off some steam?”
I hesitated a little.
From a young age, my family taught me not to fight.
Later on, I became a teacher and also taught students not to fight.
Diego, upon seeing the situation, knelt down at my feet and wept bitterly, saying, “Miss, Miss, you are a cultured person, please forgive me this time, don’t hit me…”
I sneered and swung my arm in a circle, landing a smack on Diego’s head.
“Don’t morally blackmail me here! The one who will beat you today is an intellectual!”
After a few consecutive slaps, Diego completely gave in.
Apart from apologizing, all he did was cry, begging me for a chance to start over and change himself.
Just as my hands were tired, I signaled Deshawn and Andres that it was time to go back.
Andres didn’t move a step and asked me, “Do you want me to take you to the hospital?”
Itouched my head and said, “Forget it, it doesn’t hurt anymore. Besides, I have to go to accompany the morning self–study tomorrow, so I have to go back and sleep quickly.”
Deshawn nodded and then kicked Diego again.
“Today is your lucky day! Tomorrow my sister is going to see a doctor, and you have to cover the medical expenses!”
Chapter 6
Diego nodded repeatedly, saying, “I went, I went!”
Deshawn said again, “Did you rent that house? Is the lease about to expire? Do you need me to help you move?”
Diego quickly understood his meaning and kept saying, “It’s due, it’s due, we’ll move in a couple of days.”
When I got home, I realized that Kate was still awake. She had made mung bean soup for me and asked me to have a bowl to calm down.
Then, they took a cotton swab and alcohol and disinfected the area where I had scraped my skin.
I was flattered and quickly said, “No need, no need, I’ll do it myself.”
She thought for a moment and handed me the cotton swab.
Then she turned around and said to Deshawn and Andres, “You two have nothing to do at home all day, so take turns and pick up and drop off Lilianna in the morning and evening.”
They both nodded, and I felt quite embarrassed. “No need, I have to get up very early in the morning, and there are people on the road during the day, it’s fine.”
Kate didn’t speak.
Deshawn said, “Anyway, I was just idle, so don’t worry about me.”
He paused for a moment and then said, “The little bit of rent I paid you wouldn’t even be enough to sleep on the streets. My mom taught me not to live off others for free, so if you let me work as your bodyguard, I would feel a bit better.”
Andres also nodded. “When you woke up, I hadn’t slept yet. I accompanied you out in the morning.”
He added another reason, saying, “Usually, I feel like taking a dump in the morning.”
