The Heir 115

The Heir 115

Chapter 115

The door clicked softly behind them, sealing the night in.

As soon as they stepped into Alex’s house.

Tonight felt full.

Full of things unsaid, promises unspoken but understood. There was laughter still lingering on their lips from dinner, and the quiet look in their eyes from the car ride-the look that said, I’m yours.

They didn’t rush.

Alex’s eyes stayed on Mia as he gently took her bag from her hand and set it down. She didn’t look away. Her breathing was shallow now, her body humming with an ache she didn’t know she had until he was this close.

He stepped toward her, slowly, like every step mattered. His hand reached up, brushing a stray curl from her face. Then his fingers lingered there, trailing softly down to her jaw.

Mia’s heart beat faster.

“You’re quiet,” he said.

She swallowed, lips parting. “I’m just… feeling everything.”

He smiled gently. “Me too.”

And then he kissed her.

Not with urgency.

This kiss held weight. It was soft and deep, his lips moving against hers like he was memorizing the taste of her all over again. Mia responded with equal tenderness, her arms wrapping around his neck, drawing him closer like she needed him to breathe.

She did.

Their bodies knew each other already, but tonight wasn’t about discovery.

Tonight was about remembering, how they got here, who they had become. Two people once filled with reasons not to love.

Alex pulled her tighter against him. The heat between them was slow-building, steady and unstoppable.

She kissed him deeper, letting her hands slide down his back, feeling the strength in him, the warmth of him, the way he always made her feel like

“Come here,” he whispered, voice husky as he took her hand.

He led her through the soft light of his home.

When they reached his bedroom, he didn’t turn the lights on. The moonlight was enough.

Mia stood there for a moment, watching him. Her chest ached in the best way. Her love for him was so big it almost scared

her.

He turned and looked at her-not with hunger, but with reverence.

“Are you tired?” he asked gently, like he’d change everything if she said yes.

“No,” she said, her voice barely a breath. “I want this. I want you.”

His hand touched her waist again, and she leaned into him, finding his lips with hers once more. This time, the kiss turned deeper. The kind of kiss that melted thoughts. That made her forget where she ended and he began.

Their clothes came off slowly. Not with the frantic pull of passion, but with the intimacy of lovers who knew each other’s skin. Alex unbuttoned her gown, pressing kisses to every inch he revealed, while Mia slid his shirt off his shoulders, letting her fingers trace the lines of his chest like she was touching something sacred.

Every breath between them grew heavier.

When they finally lay down together, it wasn’t just a body pressing against another. It was a soul folding into a soul. Mia curled into his arms like she belonged there. Because she did.

Alex kissed her shoulder, her neck, her collarbone-softly, patiently. Every touch was full of meaning. He didn’t rush. He never rushed with her.

He looked at her beneath him, brushing her hair back as if she were fragile and powerful all at once.

“I love you,” he said.

Mia felt something stir so deeply in her chest she almost couldn’t speak. But she did.

“I love you too.”

And then, they moved together.

Their bodies met with a tenderness that made her breath catch. It wasn’t new-but it felt new, because this wasn’t just passion anymore. It was surrender. It was choosing each other, again and again, in every movement, every kiss, every heartbeat.

He touched her like he meant it.

Like she was the only thing in the world.

Their rhythm was slow, drawn out. They weren’t chasing pleasure. They were living inside it. Holding it. Breathing it.

Their mouths kept finding each other between soft gasps and gentle moans, fingers laced tight, foreheads pressed together.

Mia whispered his name more than once.

Sometimes in a sigh.

Sometimes like a prayer.

And every time, Alex responded-his voice low and aching, his hands steady and warm, grounding her even when her body trembled with emotion.

She felt everything.

Every brush of skin, every inhale, every shiver of breath.

Time slipped away. They were just two people—completely undone, completely open, wrapped in each other and something deeper than desire. Something more lasting.

When it was over, they stayed wrapped together.

Their skin was damp. Their chests rose and fell together. But neither of them moved.

Alex kissed her temple softly.

Mia didn’t speak. She just closed her eyes, resting her cheek on his shoulder, her fingers playing lightly with the chain he always wore around his neck.

They didn’t need words anymore.

They know they feel the same, and Mia is sure they can face whatever will want to break them tomorrow.
