Mom stood up and yelled, “You’re lying!”
Dad walked to the cop.
“These two are lying! Take them away.”
Lindsey pointed at the body.
“That’s proof. Lindsay killed an innocent
person.”
The cop frowned and said, “Where is
Lindsay?”
I smiled and walked to the cop.
I looked at Lindsey, “I have something to
say.”
Lindsey cut me off, “Don’t lie!”
I said, “I was at a concert with my parents. I
wasn’t home last night.”
Everyone in the crowd gasped.
“More lies?”
“Did this girl burn her mom?”
Lindsey’s face twisted.
I smirked and said, “This is the video from the
concert.”
The police looked serious and turned to
Lindsay.
“Can you prove your accusation?”
Lindsey looked nervous.
Chad grabbed her.
“That woman killed someone. She has to
pay.”
I said, “Maybe you are in love with Lindsey.”
Everyone said “What?”
“You’re always on the sister’s side.”
I went on.
“Chad. I didn’t know you and Lindsey were a
thing!”
Everyone gasped and looked at Chad and
Lindsey.
Chad pushed Lindsey away and said, “No.”
“He’s so nice, I can’t believe he’s with that
psycho.”
“Right, that guy’s a killer.”
I added, “Lindsey, this is Chad.”
The crowd gasped.
Chad let Lindsey go.
“I’m sorry…”
One woman said, “Why is he helping the other
girl?”
“He must think that she’s the killer.

Lindsay looked at the cop.
“That’s why I got to go back to jail.”
