Chapter 15 A Lesson
Chapter 15 A Lesson
A jolt ran through Aurora. She lifted her gaze and saw Roseanne engrossed in studying the simulation.
“Is she here to view houses as well? Let’s go and take a look.”
Just as Aurora returned to her senses, she was immediately pulled away by Eula Galanis
The commotion was too loud, causing Roseanne to look up.
Left with no other choice, Aurora managed a smile. “Roseanne”
With a calm demeanor, Roseanne gave a slight nod, simply responding, “Hey.”

The receptionist’s explanation was interrupted, but she only paused for a moment before continuing, “Ma’am, this housing area might meet your needs. It’s a two–story unit that can be renovated-
“Royale Villa!”
With a gasp of surprise, Eula cut off the receptionist mid–sentence.
She gazed at the golden sign marked “Royale Villa,” scoffing lightly. “The price for a square meter in Royale Villa is two hundred thousand. The duplex you’re looking at is a thousand square meters, adding up to two hundred million. Can you afford it? Stop pretending to be a big shot here. You’re just wasting people’s time.”
Aurora’s expression changed in an instant, her annoyance evident. “Eula, what are you babbling about?”
Eula scoffed. “Did I say something wrong? She’s a poor woman who grew up in a rural area. Where would she get the money to buy such an expensive house? Didn’t you say her dowry was only fifty million? It’s been two years, so she must have spent all by now.”
A blush instantly warmed Aurora’s cheeks. Subconsciously, she looked toward Roseanne, apologizing. “I’m sorry, Roseanne. It… It wasn’t intentional”
“Are you scared of her? Does she often bully you?”
Eula swiftly pulled Aurora behind her. “Howard, make sure you protect my roommate.”
Howard Longbottom withdrew his gaze from Roseanne and swiftly wrapped an arm around Aurora’s shoulder. He reassured Eula, “Don’t worry, Darling. I won’t let anyone bully you two.”
The girl’s gaze was excessively cold. It was clear at first glance that she wasn’t someone to be trifled with.
Getting close to someone like Aurora, a naive young lady, was always easier.
Aurora attempted to pull away, but Howard firmly held onto her, gently comforting her, “Behave. My girlfriend is standing up for you.”
Aurora struggled but couldn’t free herself, her eyes reddening in frustration.
She hadn’t expected Howard to be so audacious, daring to take advantage of her right in front of Eula.
“Roseanne, my cousin and Brandon truly love each other. They overlooked your fake marriage and even compensated you with seven hundred million. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll divorce peacefully, take the hefty payout, and return to your hometown!”
Eula was meticulously made up, and it was only by wearing her petite high heels that she could barely stand at the same level. as Roseanne.
She stood with her hands on her hips, her eyes wide and round, her voice booming as if she were the one in the right.
With a soft chuckle, Roseanne lowered her gaze, her eyelashes casting a slight shadow, “I was wondering who was so righteous. and bold. It turns out you’re the homewrecker’s cousin. Does Yvonne know she has such a loyal dog like you?”

Humiliated by those words, Eula became infuriated. “What do you mean by that?”
“I meant what I said.”

Eula gritted her teeth, and a realization suddenly dawned on her. “I get it now,” she said, “You’re not here to buy a house. You’re here to snag a man, aren’t you?
She glanced around, pointing at Roseanne as she loudly declared. “Everyone, look at her. She’s a scammer, making a fortune off of fraudulent marriages and hefty dowries and compensations.”
The commotion drew in quite a few customers; all eyes were turned their way.
“She’s a woman who relies on her body to deceive others for money. Who knows how many men she’s been with? She’s nothing more than a slt. Who knows what kind of diseases she might have contracted-”
Smack!
Roseanne slapped her.
The surroundings fell into complete silence; not a single person uttered a word.
Her cheeks were burning hot. Eula’s eyes widened, her body trembling with fury. “How dare you hit me?” she exclaimed.
“Do I need to schedule a time to hit you?”
“Argh! You wretch! 171 kill you!”
Eula rushed over in a fit of frenzy.
Swiftly sidestepping, Roseanne narrowly avoided Eula, who almost collided with the table. The receptionist, with quick reflexes, managed to steady her in time.
“Let go of me.”
Aurora didn’t I want to
o cause a scene between them. She wanted to break free from Howard’s restraint and stop the fight.
Howard noticed Eula glaring fiercely at Roseanne, oblivious to his presence, and a subtle glint appeared in his eyes.
His hand, however, reached out toward Aurora’s chest.
As Aurora sensed danger, her expression changed rapidly, her hand instinctively moving to guard her chest. “What are you doing?”
Roseanne happened to witness this scene. The moment Aurora broke free, she swiftly kicked the guy.

He slammed hard onto the ground, bouncing twice before skidding a meter away.
The audience at the scene was left in shock.
Taken aback by inertia, Aurora managed to steady herself after retreating. She was left stunned.
Upon witnessing the scene, Eula let out a shriek, once again charging toward Roseanne.
She had her nails done, long and slender at the tips. If one were to be scratched by them, it would undoubtedly ruin their complexion
Aurora instinctively reached out to stop her. “Eula, don’t act rashly.”
Eula was seething with anger, unable to take in anything being said. She abruptly swung her elbow backward.
“Ah!”

Aurora was abruptly pushed away, her forehead colliding with the corner of the table, causing an immediate bleed.
Finding a brief moment, Roseanne shifted her gaze, nimbly avoiding Eula’s hand and swiftly kicked at the bend of her leg
Eula found herself kneeling on the ground.
The security arrived, managing to control the chaotic scene.
The ambulance arrived, and all four of them were taken to the hospital.
Inside the hospital room, Aurora lay pale and frail, her forehead wrapped in gauze.
Roseanne sat by the side, engrossed in her phone
Outside, Eula was in a state of panic, muttering to herself, “What should I do? The Sylvester family adores Aurora so much. If they find out I’ve hurt her, they’ll never forgive me,”
Before getting in the ambulance, Roseanne called Zachary
Howard’s abdomen was still throbbing with pain. Through the glass, he shot a venomous glance at Roseanne, saying, “Wait outside. As soon as the Sylvester family arrives, you should…
After hearing his suggestion, Eula gradually calmed down, her gaze filled with resentment. “All right. Let’s do that.”
Subsequently, the two of them waited at the elevator entrance until the members of the Sylvester family appeared.
The Sylvester family often dropped Aurora off at school. Eula had seen them before, making a beeline for Claire. “Mrs. Sylvester, don’t worry. Aury is fine.”
Trovan’s face was clouded with concern. “What on earth happened?”
“It’s Roseanne… Eula muttered, then immediately lowered her head, her face etched with conflict.
Zachary’s face darkened, his voice carrying a slight chill. “What happened to Rosie?”
Upon noticing that Eula was too preoccupied with her acting to utter a single word, Howard spoke up. “Aurora and my girlfriend are close. She was helping us house hunt when she ran into Roseanne. Roseanne wanted to buy a mansion worth hundreds of millions. Out of concern, we kindly inquired and advised her to consider more affordable houses, thinking about her family. She didn’t take it well and told us to leave.”
Howard shot Eula a look.
Eula continued, “Aury always considers Roseanne as her sister, constantly trying to bridge the gap between them. However, Roseanne remained indifferent. She even accused Aury of usurping her life, demanding her to leave the Sylvester family. In our indignation, we stood up for Aury, and as a result… Before she fell unconscious, she was worried that all of you would blame Roseanne. She kept crying until I assured her that I would take the blame. Only then she was able to rest. I didn’t want to bring this up, but I’m concerned that Roseanne might continue to target her. She’s too kind–hearted and easily hurt.
