“What’s this about ‘daddy? You know the deal, kiddo. You’re mine and mine alone. Don’t dwell on it.” Alana’s face clouded with concern.
As the kids matured, doubts crept in, and their curiosity about their absent father only grew.
“But, Alice said a mom can’t make a baby alone. It needs both, a mom and a dad. Layla innocently pointed out
“Yeah, we checked it out. It’s just like Layla said Rowan and Bailey chimed in.
Alana’s gaze swept over them, a hint of frustration coloring her tone
“Haven’t you remembered why we’re back? You pledged to work with me. If you’re truly set on having a dad, I’ll sort it once we’ve squared away everything!
The trio bowed their heads, bitterness creeping in. They weren’t after any old father, they craved their true dad yearning for a family reunion.
Just then. Alana’s phone chimed, and she picked up with a grin.

In Rowan’s room, the siblings huddled up for a chat. Making sure the coast was clear, Rowan began.
“It’s our first time back, and our first pow–wow since touching down. We need to sync up on what we’re aiming for. Mom’s got her agenda, and we’re here to back her. But we’ve got our own mission too.
“Our top priority? Finding Dad. That stays solid. Bailey, what’s your take?”
Bailey’s cheeks tinted as he remembered their chat in the car. “Rowan’s spot on. Our quest for Dad stays solid, no matter
what.
Impressed, Rowan turned to Layla. “What about you, Layla?”
“I… Well, I’m with you guys all the way. Can’t wait to find Dad. Layla’s eyes shimmered, reminiscent of Alana’s in days gone
