Chapter 1 Intruding Into His Room
Chapter 1 Intruding Into His Room
As dusk fell the city lights began to twinkle.
Celia Durban looked flustered in the hallway of the top suite at Kordale Gate Hotel. Her hair tousled as she staggered forward.
Hot on her heels was an overweight middle–aged man with prominent ears, accompanied by a black–clad bodyguard
“Stop, you’re just a minor journalist. What makes you think you’re so special?
“You should feel flattered that I’m interested in you!
“Quick, get that woman”
Feeling overheated and slightly shaking. Celia shook her head and tried to maintain her focus.
As her pursuers gained ground, she desperately tried each door she passed, searching for a place to take refuge.
Fortune favoured the prepared.
At last, she managed to open a door at the end of the hallway and slip inside.
By the time the fat man and his bodyguard reached the spot, she had disappeared without a trace.
Surveying their surroundings, they realised this was a presidential suite, home to Kordale’s elite. Therefore, it would be wise for them to avoid making a scene.
Thwarted, they were left to utter curses and depart
The room was dimly lit, and Celia leaned against the cool wall, her fingernails pressing into her flesh as she fought to stay calm.
As the voices outside dwindled, she inhaled deeply and turned to exit the room.
Suddenly, a firm grip caught her arm.
“Do you think you can just leave like that after barging in here?”
A deep voice, tinged with annoyance, spoke from above.
The man stood tall, his presence radiating a chilly aura that instantly engulfed Celia.
Tm sorry! I’m so sorry, Sir! They were chasing me, so in my panic, I barged inside! I apologise for disrupting your peace. Please forgive me!”
His touch sent shivers through her, making her shake uncontrollably.
She knew she had to get out immediately.
Just when she thought he might release her, he shifted his hand to her slender waist.
Pulling her closer, he leaned in, his breath warm on her ear and his tone seductive.
“How can I be sure you didn’t do this on purpose? Since you’re here, why not stay and keep me company?”
Celia’s body relaxed at his words, her arms instinctively encircling his neck.
She was no longer in control of her actions.
She just found an odd comfort in his embrace.
Feeling the passion of the woman before him, the flames within the man burned even brighter, and he swiftly captured her soft lips with his.

In an instant, both their fervent bodies found comfort in each other, like dry wood to fierce fire, becoming uncontrollable.
In the dim light, where their features blurred, only the sounds of their eager, breathless whispers filled the air, colouring their cheeks and accelerating their hearts.
At five in the morning. Celia’s eyes flew open as she surveyed the unfamiliar room and noticed the man lying beside her, I back to her.
She had unwittingly spent the night with a big shot in this presidential suite.
Gosh! How did this happen!
She knew she needed to leave right away. If he woke up, he might not let her leave.
Celia ignored the aches in the dim morning light and quickly dressed and collected her things
She had to make sure she did not leave any traces behind.
Silently, she slipped out the door. After she was out, she tugged at her long hair and rushed to the elevator, her heart gradually settling as she made it to the basement and got into her car.
Reflecting on the events of the night felt like a surreal dream. That disgusting man. Frank Moore, had drugged her.
Luckily, she had been cautious and only sipped the drink, instantly realising something wasn’t right.
She had managed to slip out during a restroom break; otherwise, the consequences could have been dire
She could not understand how her deputy editor could have arranged such an interviewee for her.
Yet, despite her precautions, she still lost her virginity to a stranger.
What would Chase think if he knew she was no longer a virgin! Would he still want to be with her?
It was not her fault, though.
Tears filled Celia’s eyes as she thought about it
Suddenly, she shook her head vigorously.
Right now, the most urgent thing is to buy an emergency contraceptive pill to avoid any potential consequences.
With that thought, Celia quickly started her car and headed for the garage éxit
Just as she pulled onto the main road, her phone rang from an unknown number. After connecting to her Bluetooth earpiece, she answered.
“Hello? Ms. Durban
She heard the voice of a strange man on the phone.
Yes, Who’s this?”
“I am Ethan Hanson, a traffic police officer from the South City Branch of the Kordale Police Department. Your father has been involved in a car accident. Please come to the First People’s Hospital as soon as possible.”
These words struck Celia like a thunderbolt, shaking her to her core.
Her mind went blank, and she instinctively turned the steering wheel to the right, gripping it tightly as she responded in a shaky voice, “Okay! I’ll be right there.”
Upon reaching the hospital, Celia was directed to the morgue.
By the time she was contacted, her father, Peter Durban, had already passed away.
She struggled to keep her emotions in check, fighting back the tears welling in her eyes.

However, when she tremulously pulled back the white sheet covering her father’s face and saw his still and pale features, tears immediately streamed down her cheeks.
She wailed. “Dad! Dad! What happened?”
Just the day before, he had been alive and cheerful, talking and laughing with her; now, there seemed to be an insurmountable chasm between them.
Celia could not grasp this new reality and collapsed on Peter’s body, crying and sobbing uncontrollably.
“Ms. Durban, we cannot bring the dead back to life. Please try to compose yourself.
“There are still many arrangements to be made.
Ethan had been standing behind her, his firm yet sympathetic face showing understanding.
It was only then that Celia remembered she was in a morgue with a police officer beside her.
She slowly stood up, still trembling, and draped the white sheet back over her father.
After offering her a tissue. Ethan guided her to a nearby restroom.
After regaining some composure, Celia spoke in a hushed tone, Officer Hanson, was my father completely at fault for the traffic accident?”
“Yes, we’ve looked through the surveillance footage, and your father indeed breached the traffic rules by running a red light.”
Celia struggled to accept this. Her father was always so careful and composed, a stickler for following the rules.
How could he commit such a fundamental error?
“And how is the other involved party now?” Celia asked, lifting her eyes to meet Ethan’s, her expression fraught with concern.
“Despite medical efforts, he also succumbed to his injuries.”
Just as Celia was about to respond, several imposing men and a middle–aged woman stormed into the room.
“Are you the daughter of the man responsible for this accident?”
