As we left the Zhou family’s old house, I immediately saw Chloe standing by the roadside.
Seeing Lucas’s car come out, she quickly walked over, leaned on the car window and said:
“Cousin Lucas, can you come with me for a moment? I have something I want to tell you.”
“No.”
Without any hesitation, Lucas directly refused.
The engine roared under his foot, and he left without any delay. Little Lucas clenched his fists, his face angry: ‘Chloe is still too idle. She had to jump out and upset my wife on a good day of visiting. It seems I need to find something for the Lin family to do!‘

It was Director Johnson who had arrived.

“Miss, what nonsense are you talking about? Olivia and I have a working relationship. Besides, this isn’t the feudal era. Can’t normal men and women even meet?”
“Working relationship? Pah! I think it’s a bedroom relationship!”
Chloe sneered, her nose in the air: “Your affair is well–known in the industry. Do you think everyone else is stupid! If there’s nothing between you two, why would you always cast Olivia? She’s the second female lead in all your dramas. Now you’re secretly meeting for tea, if we hadn’t
caught you, the next step would be going to a hotel!”
Once Chloe started talking, she went on and on without giving others a chance to interject.
After finishing in one breath, Chloe stood with her hands on her hips, her face proud a
mug.
And her inner voice transmitted directly into my ears without any filter:
‘I’ve always said that only I can be with Cousin Lucas. Olivia, you shameless woman, you’re not even worthy of polishing my shoes!‘
Chloe turned her head to look at Lucas, waiting gleefully for disgust towards me to
appear on his face.
But unfortunately, she was going to be disappointed.
