Elliott mocked me, saying, “Laylah, how poorly you have been living after your divorce, working for someone else.”
“Did you come to see me today to get my attention? Do you want to ask me for a remarriage? You can forget about IL.
I rolled my eyes and interrupted his speech, “Elliott, do you think you’re money? How shameless.”
“Mr. Horton, please.”
I deliberately took Jovany’s arm and walked into the meeting room.
Turning my head, I saw Elliott’s face contorted with anger.
And Jovany didn’t resist my actions either, sitting with me and laughing, looking at Elliott with a provocative gaze.

Elliott angrily walked away with Melanie.
