From the moment that he received Hua Shengan’s signal for help, until he arrived at the scene, boss has been in a state of anxiety. Having seen how he fiercely faced off against those gangsters, then treating her gently, it seems that she is special to him. Maybe she will become his wife.
Qian backed away and locked eyes with Liang. As Liang gave him a faint smile, he felt an incoming headache. Liang has already figured it out. And there I was rushing forward to boss like a fool!
Xiao Chengjue hadn’t noticed the change in Qian. He turned around and met Hua Shengan’s dewy doe eyes, which carried a hint of suspicion.
“Is it really you, Chengjue?” she asked.
“Yes and everything is fine now.” Xiao Chengjue squinted as he was surprised by her innocent and harmless eyes. Having heard her soft and gentle voice, he realized she must be sober.
“I… What happened to you?”
Hua Shengan’s alertness came back little by little. She looked at Xiao Chengjue strangely as she spotted the corners of his mouth bleeding, a few scratches around his ears and neck, and several wounds on his body. How could someone like him get hurt? And who had such courage to hurt him?
Suddenly she shivered, and her mouth ached slightly. A terrible thought appeared in her mind. She evasively turned her head to the side.
What entered her sight was the few men lying on the ground, as well as Liang and Qian who stood there and kept watch with knives and baseball bats. Scenes from earlier flashed through her mind like a short film, and her eyes instantly turned cold and her body trembled slightly.
Xiao Chengjue felt the sudden grasp of her hand on his arm. He did not turn to look at the wounded men. His gaze stayed only on her, and his expression changed along with hers, with a little interest.
Hua Shengan released his arm and walked towards the men. “Should I teach them a lesson?” Xiao Chengjue asked with raised eyebrows as he moved to hold her.
“No.”
As soon as she took another step, Hua Shengan was forcefully pulled into Xiao Chengjue warm and hard embrace.
“Seriously? In your current state?”
Soft laughter came from above her head. Before she could understand what he meant, a piece of clothing immediately covered her head. Hua Shengan pulled off the clothes clumsily and saw his warning eyes.
She followed his gaze downwards and calmly put on his clothes. Then she turned and walked towards the group of men lying on their stomachs. Xiao Chengjue was stunned. A second ago she was like a stunned rabbit but now she was as cool as a cucumber.
“Ms. Hua-” Qian opened his mouth to say but shut it immediately as he felt prickles down his back. He did not dare turn to look at the pair of warning eyes behind him. He loosened his grip on the baseball bat as Hua Shengan snatched it away from him.
She walked to the tattooed man and squatted down. She set the baseball bat in front of his face, and smiled coldly at his pained and frightened expression.

“What does your boss want you to do to me? Is it your boss‘ idea, or is it the idea of the person behind your boss? I’ll show you mercy if you talk.”
“Ms. Bua, d–d–don’t you already know?” The tattooed man lay on the ground and put his hands together in a plea as he stuttered. He stole glances at the couple of people standing in front of him, as well as the man standing furthest away. That man emitted chills from his body like Hades, and was the one who had broken his leg with one hit.
“Talk!”
Hua Shengan raised the baseball bat and struck hard against his arm. She clearly heard the muffled sound of the bat hitting his flesh, the crisp sound of his bones breaking, accompanied by a scream, and a bitter roar. She was as cruel as Xiao Chengjue. Even his eyes flashed in surprise.
“I’ll talk, I’ll talk! Boss wanted us to take turns to have you and leave photo evidence.” The painful wailing of the tattooed man further angered Hua Shengan. She slowly stood up and laughed softly. The cold laughter startled the group of gangsters as they looked at her in fear.
“She didn’t want my life but wanted me to live a life worse than death. How cruel she is!” Hua Shengan raised the bat again above the tattooed man who had harbored improper thoughts towards her. She wanted him dead, all of them, who had touched her and violated her with their eyes.
Her hands stopped in the air. Her wrist was tightly grasped by a strong and bruised hand. Her gazed followed the hand and met with a pair of calm eyes.
“Don’t dirty your hands, it’s not worth it!” Xiao Chengjue slowly took the bat away from Hua Shengan’s hand and gently pulled her away. He turned her back towards the men on the ground and lowered his face to hers as he said, “Don’t look back. Don’t move.”
Xiao Chengjue gently patted her shoulder before he pulled away from her, and ran to the frightened tattooed man. He smiled wickedly, and with a sweep of his hand, a blood–curdling screech filled the alley and sounded in Hua Shengan’s ears.
Blood flowed out between the fingers covering his face. From the metal dart in Xiao Chengjue’s hand, blood was still dripping drop by drop. He slowly approached a man who was recoiling into the group of men, and he grabbed his foot and dragged him out. The grin on Xiao Chengjue’s face thoroughly frightened the man.
“Please spare my life! We were only following orders! Spare our unworthy lives!” The man shrank under Xiao Chengjue’s feet and kowtowed his head while begging for mercy even as Xiao Chengjue kicked him to the ground.
He looked at Xiao Chengjue who was nonchalantly squatting down. The murderous look in his eyes made him tremble in fear.
“You don’t like women? Let’s change your sexuality then!”
Xiao Chengjue stared at the man, pulled his hand into a grip, and swung the metal dart down. The man howled and rolled on the ground. The rest looked at Xiao Chengjue as if he was a monster. As he stood up, he scanned across them swiftly, tossed the dart away, took out the silk scarf in his pocket and wiped his hands. Then he discarded the scarf behind him.
“I will take the car. Clean up the mess here and leave no traces.” Xiao Chengjue coldly instructed Qian after he tightened the clothes on Hua Shengan. Then he took her in his arms and exited the alley.
“Boss, are we to get rid of them?”

Qian felt that it was not the usual method of his overbearing boss to let these gangsters die, so he asked in a cautious tone, while emphasizing the last few words.
“Don’t we need people in Africa? Send them there and let them know what a good life is like!” Xiao Chengjue voice traveled.
Qian waved at Liang. “I knew the boss would not be so kind. Let’s start.”
The corners of Liang’s mouth twitched and shook his head as he looked at the wounded men strewn across the ground. “These people are already this much injured and there is still the hassle of moving them there. The boss is so considerate. Qian, you’ve got lots to do.”
