The men around her panicked. The wail sounded absolutely tragic. They looked at each other and dodged the metal dart in Hua Shengan’s hand as they hurriedly tried to grab it. Some of the men covered her mouth.
Hua Shengan could not see the people around her clearly, as her eyes were full of tears of grief and anger. She swayed around frantically, and did not know who she had stabbed, nor where she was hurt by them. The pain was not as great as the grief and hatred in her heart.
Five men managed to grab hold of Hua Shengan and snatch the dart out of her hand but they could not control her movement. They made sure to avoid her vital points, as they were afraid that the knives in their hands would kill her.
In the midst of the altercation, they heard a scream from their lookout. As they looked over, a tall man with a chilling expression was landing punches on two people with his bare fists as ferocious as he was quick. The sights and sounds of the punches made the men at the scene tremble with fear.
“Boss, wait for me!” A figure behind shouted as he ran towards the tall man while carrying something in his hands.
Xiao Chengjue had followed the tracker installed in Hua Shengan’s mobile phone to this alley. Before the car had even stopped, he heard Hua Shengan’s shocking and heart–wrenching cry. Pushing the car door open with force, he rushed out. Qian and Liang had been frightened that he might sustain injuries when he jumped out of the car as they were travelling at a high speed.
From a distance, Xiao Chengjue saw a few men circling Hua Shengan but he couldn’t see her face. A man moved forward to stop him, and he struck the man with a punch in the face without a word. He turned around and kicked the stomach of the second man, who stumbled back several meters. He threw a few more violent punches at the first man before he withdrew and ran towards Hua Shengan.
“Looks like a hero has come for her. Let’s get him.”
Two men noticed Xiao Chengjue’s agility and advanced with vicious smiles. With knives in their hands, they thought they would overcome him.
At that moment, Xiao Chengjue saw the blood on Hua Shengan’s body, face, and her torn clothes. He was furious and his eyes turned dark and frightening. Without saying anything, he approached the two men.
Having sensed the chilling and terrifying vigor from Xiao Chengjue, one of the men hesitated and suddenly he was kicked in the kneecap. His leg was first bent in a weird posture, and then he hugged it as he fell to the ground with a scream.
With a wave of his hand, the tattooed man commanded his men to surround Xiao Chengjue. The men flashed their knives one after another and attacked. Qian and Liang caught up and a brawl ensued.
Hua Shengan could not clearly see the situation before her. Her thoughts were already chaotic. She just waved her hands mechanically to prevent anyone from approaching. Even if her attackers had already moved away, she still persisted and struggled.
“Boss, it is dangerous here. Just leave it to Liang and me.”
Qian had watched as Xiao Chengjue cruelly attacked the two men. However more men approached. When he saw his boss being slashed by a dagger, he became anxious for him and hovered around him.

him waved Hua Shengan’s metal dart in his face, which infuriated him. He swung his baseball bat across the man’s chest and the sound of broken ribs was heard. The man bent over in pain and Xiao Chengjue swing his bat again and knocked him directly to the ground.
“Ha! You’re looking for death?”
The man groaned and remained on the ground. Xiao Chengjue raised his eyes and scanned the area. Then he strode with his long legs towards Hua Shengan, and picked up the dart which had fallen on the ground.
“Hua Shengan, it’s alright,” said Xiao Chengjue gently as he tried to grab her hands while she was swinging them around in a crazed state.
“Don’t come near! Don’t come near! Otherwise we shall perish together.”
Hua Shengan was still under shock from the sight of the blood. Coupled with being besieged, her anger and fear made her subconsciously counterattack. She did not realize what was happening at all as she resisted and attacked.
In her daze, she saw the dart in Xiao Chengjue’s hands. Her only thought was that it looked familiar and it belonged to her. She wanted it back so she grabbed it with her bare hands.
“Stop or you’ll hurt your hands!” Xiao Chengjue looked at the bloodstains on her face, her torn clothes and injuries on her body. The woman who was once attractive, shrewd and clever was now gone. Now only a weak and agitated woman remained, and the sight hurt him.
Xiao Chengjue threw the dart behind him for fear that she would hurt herself and held her in his arms with both hands. “Hua Shengan, wake up, everything’s fine now.”
“Let go of me, I am not someone you can mess with! Let go! Let me go!” Hua Shengan shrieked. She was struggling out his hold. She hit Xiao Chengjue with her mobile phone and tried to break free of his confines.
“Calm down, I’m Xiao Chengjue!”
In an attempt to wake her from her stupor, he shook her.
“Xiao Chengjue? When Xiao Chengjue comes, you are doomed, you are doomed!”
Hua Shengan froze, and then flung around even more frantically. Subsequently, her body was tightly confined, and her mouth was sealed with his soft yet domineering lips which swallowed all her cries and suppressed her struggles.
With the collision of their teeth and lips, Xiao Chengjue tasted a faint fishy smell. He continued kissing her until he had drained her energy and calmed her from her agitation.
Only then did he soften his hold and looked at her.
They were still the same big and clear eyes, with long eyelashes like butterfly wings flapping innocently, but the eyes were empty like a soulless doll.
“Hua Shengan, this is Xiao Chengjue,” he whispered slowly for fear of surprising her once again.
“Boss,” Qian walked over to Xiao Chengjue as Liang watched over the men lying on the ground. Before he could even finish, Xiao Chengjue looked at him coldly, which made him shudder. He immediately shut up and backed away as he only just realized what his boss was doing.
