Hua Shengan went upstairs and took off her clothes. Afterward, she dashed into the shower and turned the tap on. She cursed Xiao Chengjue under her breath as she rubbed herself clean. She wasn’t wrong to call him a dog. The bite mark hurt when the water splashed on it.
Her body was full of marks and bruises, while her eyes held no warmth in them. In the past, she kept herself a virgin for Luo Tian. She loved him with all she had and did not doubt him one bit. She also gave Hua Ranran all her love and anything she wanted. Apart from that, she gave her inheritance from her deceased grandfather to her Dad when he asked for it. But everything was a lie. She never expected her family to be the ones that wanted her dead.
She wiped off the mist on the mirror, which then reflected a gorgeous woman with delicate features. Her eyes were as dark as obsidian and lips as red as a cherry, seducing anyone who looked at her. The only feature that didn’t fit in was the coldness in her eyes.
Hua Shengan suddenly smiled. Just like a poisonous poppy that bloomed after the rain. I don’t have to rush. I will slowly take back everything that belongs to me!
Hua Shengan slept like a baby as she curled underneath her blanket. Suddenly, she heard footsteps at her door, along with some knocking. Unfortunately, she was too tired to answer, and they left after a while.
It was midnight when Hua Shengan woke up from hunger. She couldn’t take it anymore, so she went into the kitchen to find something to eat.
After searching for a while, she found a bowl of beef soup in the microwave. Hua Shengan touched the side of the bowl, knowing that Aunt Rong must have left this for her since it was still warm.
“Miss, take your time. I’ll go reheat the pie that I made for you.”
Although Hua Shengan was starving, she still ate with grace. Aunt Rong stood by the kitchen door and watched her eat with fondness.
“It’s okay, Aunt Rong. You can reheat it for me tomorrow. I’ll get fat if I eat anymore tonight! You should go rest now.”
Hua Shengan only showed her sincere smile to Aunt Rong as she protected her in the Hua family since she was very young. There were times when Lin Xue tried to chase her out of the family but didn’t succeed because Aunt Rong made a fuss, forcing them to let Hua Shengan stay.
“Okay then, you should rest early too.” Aunt Rong took a few steps out before she remembered something and turned back. “Ms. Ranran dragged Madam Lin into the room to talk about something since she came back. I don’t know the context, but Ms. Ranran was screaming about wanting to talk to you, and Madam stopped her. Madam said she would take revenge on you for her. She even said that you wouldn’t get to be happy for long.”
Aunt Rong glimpsed outside the kitchen for a bit before returning her gaze to Hua Shengan. “Miss, please be careful in the future.”
Hua Shengan was stunned. She stared at the table and held the spoon tightly. What did Lin Xue mean with her words? Is it really for Hua Ranran, or something else?
After comforting Aunt Rong, Hua Shengan returned to her own bedroom. She wasn’t sleepy at all as she shifted her gaze to the steel dart that was placed on the bedside table and frowned. He must’ve given me this because he knew something is going to happen!

The steel dart was a little heavy as she weighed it in her hand. Hua Shengan grabbed her eyebrow pencil and gently hit it with the tip. Her eyes widened in shock as the pencil broke in half. It’s so sharp!
Hua Shengan looked around the room for anything else that she could test it on but to no avail. She ran to the marble windowsill and hit it with all her might. Thunk! There was now a hole on the marble, but no visible damage on the dart, Hua Shengan realized that this heavy piece of steel was a treasure.
She happily picked up the box that she left aside, hoping that it would be a gun. Since her reincarnation, she was not the same as before when she was cowardly and obedient. She couldn’t bring herself to like this steel dart that Xiao Chengjue gave her and longed for a weapon that had a better attack range instead.
