Chapter 16

Rachael’s Point Of View

“Let go of me!” I yelled kicking my feet as the security guards hauled me out of the building. Since I had refused to go with them, they picked me up from the floor, and my son didn’t even do anything to stop it since he was the one who ordered it. “I said let go of me! Do you know who I am?”

“LET ME GO!” I growled before I was released, I stumbled slightly, almost falling to the concrete. “You pigs, how dare you

touch me?!”

“Pardon us.” One of the security men apologized almost immediately. “We couldn’t ignore the words of the boss. It would be best if you left ma’am, we are only trying to keep our jobs.”

I glared at them, snatching my purse from his hands, my breaths coming out in ragged breaths as I turned to the direction of the parking lot but just then my bodyguards, Isaac and Wilson, began running towards me.

They had concerned looks on their faces, as they reached me.

They are a bunch of useless fools, but I should have listened to them when they offered to accompany me inside.

“Madam Hezron, are you okay?” Isaac asked grabbing my hands and shoving me behind them, as he stood against the security team of the company. “What did you do to the madam? Do you know who you are touching so casually?”

“There would be no need for that, let’s just go.” I snapped, my anger boiling over.

Noah dared to take that bitch side, but that wasn’t the problem, what the hell is that woman doing in the company, to begin with? I stomped towards the parked white Grand Cherokee I came in.

Isaac and Wilson were running after me, catching up to me as soon as I got to the jeep car.

“Are you okay madam?” Isaac asked curiously as he opened the door for me and I climbed into the car.

“Yes, let’s go.” I stared down at my fingers, some of my artificial nails had been broken or removed, and now regret nestled in me, for not scratching her face.

“Wilson…” I called my other security who was sitting in the driver.

“Yes, ma’am.” He answered diligently, regarding me from the rear mirror of the car.

“Didn’t I tell you to keep tabs on Noah?” I queried folding my arms. “I told you to report his every movement to me. So, how come you didn’t tell me about that woman that’s working with him?”

“What woman?” He asked and I groaned inwardly, regretting the day I employed these men. They had been anything but useful.

“I need you to look up a woman for me.” I changed topics, my voice picking a more serious tone. “She works in the company, and she works so close to my Noah, her name is Chelsea Findley.”

There was no way I could forget a name like that, if the devil had a name, I was sure it would be named Chelsea. The little high school girl who was full of malice, and hatred. The girl who nearly killed the only child I had, my precious baby boy.

For the last six years, the only thing I had regretted was not letting her transfer to a proper prison from juvenile detention for the assault on my son, and I had sworn to myself, that if I saw her again, I was going to murder her with my own hands, and who would have thought the only person that stood against me fulfilling those dreams was my son.

The very boy who almost died because of her, I need to get that she–devil away from him.

Chapter 16

“I need details on her, personal information, and the like.”

“Look who is back,” I heard Celine’s voice as I stepped into the house, she was in the dining hall, and the open space was close to the living room, making it possible to see things happening in the main living room from the dining. I pretended not to notice I heard her as I quickly climbed up the stairs heading for my room.

“If it isn’t my husband’s mistress and the clown of the day.” She taunted, as she dropped the champagne glass in her hand. and the maid standing by quickly cleared the place.

I stopped in my tracks, balling my fists, if there was anything I hated was being reminded of my position in Kain’s life.

I was nothing but a mistress…

Someone who didn’t even have any right, I know the only reason I am living such a luxurious life was because of the existence of Kai. Kain may be a ruthless businessman but he was someone who appreciates and values his bloodline, he didn’t care about a fling or two, but after he found out that I had his child.

He brought me in.

“What do you want?” I asked glaring at Celine’s frame as she approached me, she was tall, slender, and beautiful. Compared to me who came from such a harsh life, Celine was born with a golden spoon and she grew in wealth. So, it made me itch whenever she approached me with such poise.

She was the definition of radiance and elegance, and even by book a perfect woman, on the other hand, I didn’t have any of these qualities.

“I know you came from the gutters, but now you are a member of the Hezron family, that name doesn’t go lightly.” She lectured, her body moving fluidly as she reached me. “If you don’t have any self–respect then you should learn to respect my husband.”

“I don’t understand what you are insinuating,” I answered, the edge of my lips tugging into a mocking smirk. “I know you are still so bitter Kain still keeps me in this house. I am entitled to his protection as much as you are, after all, he has married me legally.”

Displaying my ringed finger, her nose scrunched up in disgust, irritation hanging at the edge of her brows.

“You’re still as stupid as the day you came here,” she still managed to remain in character, rolling her eyes as she climbed up the stairs. “I wonder if Kain will realize his mistake when he watches the viral video of your clownery.”
