Chapter 18
Janet suddenly stopped her steps forward and stood still, listening quietly.
After saying this sentence in unison, they quietly observed Emma’s reaction.
However, Emma showed no expression and leisurely poured herself a cup of tea.
“Emma, I know it was me who realized my feelings too late. In the past, I was deceived by Janet and thought you were arrogant. It was all my fault. We grew up together since we were kids, and I was misled by her pitiful appearance, misunderstanding you.”
After speaking, he took out a doll made of a string of pearls from his pocket and held it up to Emma.
“Emma, I know I hurt your heart before, you were angry, you see the pearl doll you threw away, I made a new one for you. Don’t be angry, okay? Come back with me, let’s start over.
“Emma, I know I was wrong too, Anthony said, as Isaac immediately took out a gemstone crown from his pocket and held it up in front of Emma.”
“You see, the jewel crown you lost, I have replaced it with an even more beautiful one for you. You will always be my little princess. Come back with me.”
Mateo immediately took out a photo frame from his pocket, inside of which was a picture of them when they were eighteen years old.

“Emma, look at the photos I reprinted. In the past twenty years, we
have never been apart. No one knows you better than me. Come back with me, and I will continue to spoil you like before.”
Three people held up things, waiting for Emma’s response.
Emma laughed lightly after they finished speaking.
Looking into Isaac’s eyes, she spoke to him.
“Isaac, you know we grew up together since we were kids. I thought Janet was the one who grew up with you. After all these years of friendship, you let her words create misunderstandings between us. Don’t you find it funny?”
After finishing speaking, he took the pearl doll and casually threw it to the ground. With the help of gravity, the doll’s string broke instantly.
The plump and round pearls rolled in all directions one by one.
“Anthony, don’t you feel ashamed saying these things? Back when the four of us went camping together, you drove them back in the middle of the night, leaving me alone at the campsite without a care if I was scared or not. You even took the transportation with you. Is this your idea of a little princess?”
He picked up the jewel–encrusted crown and smashed it hard onto the ground, the shattered gems mirroring the state of their relationship, broken into pieces.
The sharp–fragments stabbed into their legs, even piercing deeply into the flesh through their trousers.
“And you, Mateo, do you still remember when you pushed me for Janet, causing me to get hurt? I really feel unlucky to have known you for so many years.”
Take out the photo from the frame and tear it up forcefully.
Looking at the three of them with their heads hanging dejectedly, he spoke indifferently.
“Isaac, Anthony, Mateo, your best apology to me is to never appear in front of me again, because seeing you makes me feel extremely unlucky. You bring me nothing but trouble, like the time you ruined my birthday party and made me lose face in the Chicago social circle.”
“So, in the future, never appear in front of me again. If you continue to harass me, I will not hold back. You are just unwilling to accept it. I, who have been following you all along, will no longer follow you.”
“Words end here.”
He left the restaurant without looking back.
As I passed by the doorway, I saw Janet standing there, with a hint of disdain on her face.
Emma’s expression instantly broke through Janet’s defenses, once again with that superior look.
Initially, she entered the prestigious academy because of the Dalton family, but all the scions of the academy looked down on her.
Although Emma was not bad to her, she also wanted to be admired by everyone like her.
Instead of mocking her as just a poor beggar polluting the air of the college.
So she tried every means to snatch everything from Emma, and gradually her relationship with the three scions improved. People in the college began to compliment her.

And Emma still maintained her haughty posture, looking down on her as if watching a performing clown.
Emma’s presence constantly reminded her that everything she had received was something she was born with.
She absolutely hated Emma.
