Chapter 7
Three days after being discharged from the hospital, Thomas showed up at my house.
He got straight to the point, suggesting we team up to find out who Sienna really is.
I paused for a moment before replying, “I’m willing to work with you, but don’t think things can go back to how they were.
“I just want the truth, not forgiveness,” I said, noticing pain in his eyes.
We agreed to begin by looking into Sienna’s history, and Arthur shared some important information.
The name “Fate Weaver” sounded mysterious.
Arthur explained, “They claim to be able to intervene in fate, tracking the reincarnation of specific souls.”
I frowned and said, “That sounds ridiculous.”
Thomas said, “Just because it sounds ridiculous doesn’t mean it’s not real. They believe certain souls are destined to be reborn, altering their fate.”
Arthur pulled out an old book. “The Standifer family’s ancestors once had ties to this organization. I found some notes about it.‘
The book talked about a strange prophecy: “A thousand years of love, fighting fate, will end in tragedy again.”
As I read, a sharp headache hit me, and strange yet familiar images flashed in my mind.

That night, I dreamed of an ancient garden, a man dressed in white, and a bloodstained wedding dress…
The dream felt so real that I woke up and quickly called Thomas. “I had a strange dream…”
After a long pause on the phone, he finally said, “I’ve had a similar dream for many years.”
We met at a café to share the details of our dreams and were amazed at how closely they matched.
“So, the past life Sienna mentioned…” I whispered, still finding it hard to believe.
Thomas suggested we visit the library in the Standifer family’s old mansion to search for more clues.
With Maverick’s help, we sneaked into this old building.
Inside the library, we found a torn old book that told the story of a tragic love from a thousand years ago.
The woman in the story looked a lot like me, and the man was almost exactly like Thomas.
“You shouldn’t be here. Some secrets are better left forgotten,” Maverick suddenly warned us.
When the mood grew tense, Arthur stepped in, “They deserve to know the truth.”
Maverick had no choice but to share an ancient tale. Long ago, the ancestors of the Froning and Patnick families fell deeply in love.
They were about to marry despite many difficulties, but their wedding was ruined by the Fate Weaver.

The woman was forced to marry another, and the man, full of sorrow, took his own life, leaving behind a curse, “We will meet again in another life.”
To prevent people from meeting again in new lives, the Fate Weaver sends agents to interfere across generations.
“My ancestors were forced into this organization, and now I want to put an end to it,” Maverick said seriously.
The real story began to unfold. The Ledford family secretly fights against the organization, with Maverick working alongside Arthur.
Rowan didn’t know what was going on and was just being controlled by
the Fate Weaver.
“What about my dad’s illness?” I asked worriedly.
“It’s probably caused by the Fate Weaver. They want to make you obey them,” Maverick said with a serious face.
Thomas held my hand tightly and said, “This time, we will face it together.”
I didn’t pull away because we needed each other’s support against such a
strong enemy.
Several people came together to devise a plan to fight the Fate Weaver, while Thomas used all his power to protect my family.
“I won’t fail you this time,” he said firmly.
Watching his strong determination, the cold feeling inside me began to warm up a little.
Just as we were about to move, a white–haired elderly man suddenly appeared and claimed to be the Guardian.

“Stopping you isn’t out of malice, but to prevent an even greater tragedy,” he warned.
“What kind of tragedy could be worse than being apart forever?” Thomas
asked.
The Guardian said meaningfully, “Destruction will happen no matter what. If you unite, the world will fall into chaos.”
I stood up and said, “I don’t trust fate. I only believe in my own choices!”
The Guardian let out a deep breath and vanished into the shadows, leaving one last warning, “You will face the consequences.”
