Chapter 20
Adam turned his face to the side from the slap, eyes full of shock and hurt. “Chelsea, what would it take for you to forgive
me?”
“I will never forgive you. From the day you decided to wait for Anna to come of age and seal the mate bond with her, our
fate was sealed.”
“She’s already lost her mind. Once you go back, I’ll let her die, and we’ll seal the mate bond. I was wrong. I really can’t live
without you.” Adam hurriedly explained.
For the first time, a flicker of expression crossed Chelsea’s face. She furrowed her brows and looked at him with disgust. “Adam, stop making me sick.”
Was I making her sick?
Adam staggered back a few steps, feeling as if his heart was being crushed in a giant hand, making it hard to breathe.
His Chelsea called him disgusting.
Tears slipped uncontrollably down his face. Through the blur, he looked at Chelsea. He opened his mouth but couldn’t
form a sound.
At that moment, Deacon walked in from outside, glanced coolly at Adam, and turned to Chelsea.
“Chelsea, Traci told you to come back for dinner.” Deacon naturally took her hand.
Chelsea didn’t refuse. She followed him out without once looking back at Adam.
Adam snapped out of his daze and ran after them.
His leg hadn’t fully healed, and each step on the bumpy stone path sent stabbing pain through him. Soon,
drenched his body.

“Chelsea, give me one more chance. I will love you properly. Please,” Adam caught up and stepped in front of Chelsea,
blocking her path.
Chelsea frowned, clearly irritated as she said. “I don’t need your cheap love. I stopped loving you a long time ago.”
“Because of the mate bond’s pull and the perfect image of Alpha loving his Luna, you pretended to love me. But in reality, I
was just your trophy mate. The one you truly loved has always been Anna.”
“You’ve hurt me so many times, and now you say you love me? How dare you? Don’t fool yourself while acting. You only
love yourself, not me, and not even Anna.”
“I don’t love you, and I will never go back to you. Don’t come looking for me again.” With that, she turned to leave.
“Wait! Is it because of him? Deacon, you’re so shameless! How dare you seduce my Luna?” Adam aimed his anger at
Deacon.
“You’re the shameless one! Why drag others into whatever happened between us? People like you never take

responsibility for yourself. Don’t make me regret ever loving you.” Chelsea snapped.
With that, she grabbed Deacon’s hand and went inside.
Adam tried to follow but was chased away by Traci wielding a broom. “You’re not welcome here. Get out.”
Word of Adam harassing Chelsea quickly spread through the town. The locals soon organized a volunteer guard to drive him out and force him down the mountain.
But Adam refused to leave. He kept trying to storm back into the town, only to be pushed to the ground again and again, ending up battered and bruised.
While Adam was caught in a struggle with the pack members, Chelsea and Deacon had already slipped away down a hidden path, quietly leaving the town.
Traci was reluctant to see them go, preparing many gifts for Chelsea and urging her to visit often.
“Don’t worry, I’ll come back. Take good care of yourself.”
“Sweetheart, take good care of yourself.” Traci wiped her tears and waved goodbye as Chelsea walked away.
Chelsea turned away, tears falling freely after a few steps.
“Don’t cry. You can always come back whenever you want.” Deacon handed her a tissue and took her bag onto his back.
Chelsea responded softly and kept walking forward.
There were many similar small towns in these mountains.
Chelsea knew she couldn’t visit them all one by one. She and Deacon decided to establish a charity, collaborating with local packs to improve the living conditions of werewolves forced to become rogues, tailored to each area’s needs.
Meanwhile, Adam, still barred from entering the town, finally lost his patience. He called Jeremy to bring warriors and
stormed into the town by force.
He searched every corner in the town but saw no sign of Chelsea or Deacon. Sudden anger boiled in his chest as he and
the warriors left to continue the search for Chelsea.
The next time he found Chelsea was at Skyreach, on the day Chelsea’s charity organization was officially launched.
