Chapter 1
Five years after sealing the mate bond, Chelsea was finally pregnant.
The first thing she did was to apply for the baby’s official documents, hoping to give it to her Alpha mate, Adam as a gift of their fifth mating anniversary.
But when the staff at the moontree checked the information of their bond-sealing deal, they kept getting alerts that the
deal was invalid.
“Luna, are you sure this bond-sealing deal is genuine?” The staff’s expression grew strange after a dozen warnings.
Chelsea became displeased and was beginning to lose her patience. “We’ve sealed the mate bond for five years. How
could this deal be fake?”
The staff tried again and returned the documents to her. “I suggest you check with the pack elders first. Holding a fake deal is illegal. But don’t worry, even those who unbonded can now apply for their unborn babies’ documents.”
Chelsea understood the implication and went to the pack’s border, seeking out the reclusive pack elder.
“Don’t tell Alpha I came here. And don’t mention anything I asked. This is on my orders, as the Luna.”
When she came out from the pack elder’s home, her face had drained of color. All the joy she had felt completely
vanished.
The pack elder’s words pierced her heart over and over, “You and Alpha have never sealed the mate bond. The bond-sealing deal you hold is fake. I’m sorry, but this is on Alpha’s orders.”
Their five years of bonding turned out to be a lie!
Chelsea and Adam had grown up together as childhood sweethearts. Everyone knew how much he loved her, how he’d give her everything the best in the world if he could. So why would he give her a fake bond-sealing deal?
Without hesitation, Chelsea bought a plane ticket and flew to Andorra, where Adam was on a business trip.
She needed to get to the bottom of this.
At the hotel where Adam was staying, she happened to see a mating ceremony taking place.
Andorra was a unique country. Here, they could only seal the mate bond once in their lifetime, with no bond break, only
those who lost their mate.
Chelsea had no interest in watching. She pushed through the crowd toward the elevator, but her eyes caught a glimpse of
the groom surrounded by people. In that instant, she felt like she’d been struck by lightning.
The man was dressed in a leather jacket and tight pants, boots pulled up high, wearing a beret, with a wide red belt at his
waist-typical local attire. His face was lit up with a blissful smile.
It was none other than Adam, the Alpha mate she thought she had sealed the mate bond with five years ago. If she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes, she wouldn’t have believed he’d dress like that.
“Blessings on your mating ceremony, Alpha Adam!”
“You have to admit, Alpha’s really something! He knows how to throw a lavish mating ceremony both at home and abroad.”
“But Adam, are you serious about that omega Anna?”
Someone else asked curiously, “Is this bigamy? After all, Adam already sealed the mate bond with Luna Chelsea back home, right? Will this anger the Moon Goddess?”
“You don’t know the whole story. Adam didn’t actually sign the real bond-sealing deal with Chelsea back then at home because he was waiting for Anna to come of age. Legally, Adam has been unbonded for the past five years!”
“What? Is that even possible? Alpha really how to play the game.”
Amidst the crowd, Chelsea froze on the spot, her blood running cold.
She thought she misheard, but the next words from Adam were like a force plunging her into an ice house.
“I am surely serious about Anna. She risked her life to save Chelsea with a blood transfusion and has willingly lived in Chelsea’s shadow ever since. All she wants is a lasting bonding, and I can give that to her.” Adam spoke slowly, each
word carefully weighed.
So that’s how it was.
Chelsea’s eyes welled up without her noticing. It turned out the fake bond-sealing deal was Adam’s doing.
Five years ago, Chelsea had a car accident. It was Anna who just turned sixteen and that brought her to the hospital and donated blood to save her life.
Anna came from a poor background. She was an omega with only a seriously sickly mother to rely on. To repay Anna’s life-saving kindness, Chelsea and Adam took care of all her school expenses. They also arranged for her to join the trainings with various packs and even paid for her to travel abroad.
Adam said Anna had saved Chelsea, which meant she had saved him.
He was willing to give everything he could to express his gratitude.
What Chelsea didn’t expect was that his way of thanking Anna included raising her until she came of age and making her
the pack’s Luna.
The most ridiculous part was Chelsea hadn’t realized any of it. She had no idea when Adam and Anna had gotten
together.
Adam’s friend couldn’t help but ask, “What about Chelsea? Aren’t you afraid she’ll find out?”
Adam lowered his eyes, tapping his phone quickly, his voice quietly confident. “I will always love Chelsea, but she’ll never
find out.”
“Everyone keep your mouths shut. Don’t let Chelsea hear any of this.”
The next second, Chelsea’s phone vibrated.
She looked at the message from Adam, a sharp pang tightening in her chest as a cold chill spread through her entire
body.
The message read,
“Babe, I miss you. I hate being on this business trip; every second away from you is torture. I’ll try to get back by our
mating anniversary. Love you, Adam.”

Clutching her phone, Chelsea looked up at Adam walking away, a dull ache spreading through her chest.
Her vision blurred gradually, hot tears filling her eyes. This was not her Adam.
Her Adam was her childhood sweetheart who grew up with her, who broke his leg climbing through a window just to pick up her fallen hair tie, and comforted her not to cry.
He was the boy who climbed to the top of the snowy mountain at eighteen to confess, promising to love her forever
without ever lying.
He was the man who, at twenty, wrote 9,999 love letters and baked a hundred different cakes to ask her to be his mate.
He was the man who, at twenty-two, planned the most romantic mating ceremony anyone had ever seen for her and then clung to her day and night, unwilling to let go after sealing the mate bond.
It was not the liar standing before her, professing love to her while sealing the mate bond with another she-wolf.
Chelsea’s heart twisted in agony. She bit her lip hard. Her phone vibrated again. It was Adam calling.
She hesitated for a second but answered.
“Babe, where are you? Have you eaten? Why is it so noisy over there?” Adam’s voice was as gentle as ever, filled with love
in every moment.
“Adam, what are you doing?” Chelsea instinctively gripped the phone tighter, thinking if he would be honest, maybe they
could talk and she might give them both another chance.
But Adam didn’t hesitate. “I’m in a meeting. I missed you so much, so I just stepped out to call. Babe, are you shopping?
Buy whatever you like.”
Chelsea’s lips curved into a bitter smile. The light in her eyes suddenly faded. After two seconds of silence, she said
softly, “Okay, I will.”
Adam immediately sensed something was wrong. His worry grew. “Darling, are you upset? Tell me if something’s wrong.”
“I’m in a rush to try on clothes. I’ve got to go.”
Chelsea hung up and saw Anna in a local bridal gown slip into Adam’s arms nearby.
“Honey, do I look pretty?”
“You look stunning. My woman looks good in anything.”
Adam said, wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her forehead with a gentle smile.
His smile stabbed Chelsea’s eyes.
So, his tenderness and indulgence weren’t just for her. He could give his love not only to her but also to someone else. He was just a two-timing guy and could love two women at the same time.
Adam, how could your heart have room for two women?
Chelsea fled the hotel in a panic and collapsed in a nearby alley, curling into herself, tears streaming down her face freely.
She almost fainted from crying before slowly standing, her eyes shining with resolve.

She no longer wanted the fake bonding of five years.
She no longer wanted Adam, either.
Since he and Anna had already legally sealed the mate bond, then she would let them have each other.
In two weeks, it would be her parents’ memorial day. After she paid her respects, she would leave and disappear from
Adam’s world completely.
Chelsea took a taxi to the airport and booked the earliest flight home.
The first thing she did after returning was to schedule an abortion with the pack doctor.
