Meanwhile, having just moved abroad, I quickly settled into the city.
Riley tirelessly took me to various parties, introducing me to her network.
On the day I was preparing for my international exhibition, I received a love letter from Julian.
When a 20–year–old Julian pursued me, he also sent a love letter every day. But after that, everything changed.
My young assistant waved the letter in her hand. “Quinn, don’t you want to read it?”
I smiled, lighting the love letter with my fingertip. “Read what? To see how he regrets? How he ‘loves‘ me?”
The love letter burned to ashes, scattering into the air.
“A man’s love, his regret, is like these ashes. A gentle breeze and it’s gone. Only what you can hold in your own hands is
real.”
I glanced at the staff nearby and said calmly, “It’s starting soon. Let’s go!”
Meanwhile, back home, Stella’s life wasn’t going so well.
After Julian’s imprisonment, she became the target of public outrage.
She went from being a pure, innocent ‘white lotus‘ to everyone’s hated mistress.
Groups of people wrote letters to the art exhibition committee, demanding her ban.
“That mistress, she’s not even bothering to plagiarize, just changing names? So shameless!”
“Stealing someone’s husband and daring to steal their artwork? No shame at all!”
“Well, what do you expect? She’s a mistress, of course she has no shame!”
“Boycott the mistress!”

Stella frantically requested a prison visit.
The moment Julian appeared, she put on her best, albeit limited, acting skills, crying tearfully.
“Julian, you have to save me! Everyone’s calling me a mistress and trying to ban me now!”
“You have to do something! Or at least get Marshall Group to release a statement saying you were already divorced from
Quinn, and we only got together after your divorce.”
“That’s the only way to save my reputation, please!”
Julian watched her performance, leaning back calmly. “Don’t you get it? The game is over!”
Stella’s bunny–like eyes snapped up. “What did you say? What’s over?”
Julian gave a bitter laugh. “I’m in prison. The Marshall family has abandoned me. The game between you and I is over!”
“Get ready. Marshall Group’s lawyers will be coming to discuss your divorce very soon!”
“Of course, you can insist on not divorcing, but right now I only have two billion in debt to repay. Since I’m in prison, you’ll have to slowly repay it for me!”
Stella gasped, standing up abruptly. “Me repay it? How? I’ve been married to you for less than a month! You haven’t given me anything! Why should I pay your debts?”
Then, as if remembering something, she stroked her belly, showing a pitiful expression.
“But what about my baby? Is the Marshall family not going to care about my child?”
Julian looked at Stella’s belly with a sarcastic expression:
“You should know your place. You were just a stand–in for Quinn. I only used you for fun, to annoy Quinn. I didn’t expect you to get so deep into the role?”
“As for the child, it’s just a few cells. You’re not trying to threaten me with that, are you?”
Stella’s face went white. She stood up shakily.
“You said you loved me most! You said the baby and I were your treasures! You…”
Julian sarcastically tapped the table. “Do I have to spell it out for you? Dr. Evans already sent me your medical records. Your conception period was in February. I didn’t even touch you in February. You know whose child that is!”
“I signed a contract with you from the beginning. Your purpose was to anger Quinn, to make her fall in love with me again. Now you’ve failed your mission. I don’t need a useless person!”
