Jovany’s fingers trembled, and his phone fell to the ground with a “snap“.
Originally, even this car accident was planned by him.
She closed her eyes, and a mix of sadness, despair, and resentment welled up in her chest, making
it feel heavy and achy.
She didn’t understand what Gauge wanted in order to give up.
She remembered that at the moment of the car accident, he did indeed turn the steering wheel towards the passenger seat, but just at the moment of impact, he turned around and protected her.
She didn’t understand what he was thinking. Since he wanted to take revenge ruthlessly and make her suffer more, wouldn’t he be happier? Why did he have to go the extra mile to block that blow and end up breaking a rib himself?
She had a suspicion in her mind, but she didn’t want to think about it any further.

I hope it was true as you said, that you had no feelings for me at all, just seeking revenge.
Otherwise, no matter how small, you would be in excruciating pain.
Over the next few days, Gauge took care of her.
Even though he had broken a rib, the doctor advised him to rest properly. However, he stubbornly stayed by her side, never leaving even for a moment. He would feed her water, tuck her in, cut fruits
for her, and tell her stories.
Anyone who saw it would think that he loved her madly. But Jovany couldn’t be happy.
She knew that all of this was fake.
His tenderness, his care, were nothing but a carefully designed deception.
On the day of discharge, Gauge noticed that she was in a bad mood. In order to cheer her up, he took her to the newly opened dance hall of their circle of friends.
The lights in the private room were dim, and the music was deafening.
Gauge was extremely caring towards her, and the group of brothers surrounded her, showing concern and asking about her well–being. However, Jovany felt uneasy all over, constantly sensing that something was about to happen.
Until the compartment door was pushed open, Sloane walked in.

The faces of the crowd instantly turned ugly.
Seeing Gauge about to explode, a group of brothers quickly stepped forward and whispered to Sloane, “Didn’t we already make it clear to you before? You intentionally caused the car accident to harm Jovany, and Gauge did it too. Why are you causing more trouble now?”
Sloane smiled and said in a light tone, “Don’t worry, I didn’t come to cause trouble. This time, I came to join your plan. After all, Gauge is about to marry me soon, so the people he has to deal with, I should also add fuel to the fire.”
She finished speaking and then leaned down to whisper something in her brother’s ear.
The brothers‘ eyes lit up, and a meaningful smile appeared on their faces.
Jovany really wanted to hear what they were saying, but the music was too loud and she didn’t hear
anything.
After Sloane finished speaking, she walked straight up to her with a fake smile on her face. “Ms. Rosales, what happened before was my fault. Gauge has already taught me a lesson. He indeed didn’t agree to the marriage, as he loves you too much to marry another woman.”
Jovany furrowed his brow, a sense of foreboding welled up in his heart.
She didn’t know why the once arrogant Sloane suddenly compromised, and why he said it like that,
but her intuition told her that things weren’t that simple.
Gauge’s complexion also didn’t look good, his gaze shifting back and forth between Sloane and
Jovany.
Sloane, however, changed her approach and suddenly took out a bunch of keys from her bag and handed them to Jovany. “Ms. Rosales, this is a villa I just bought, right in the city center. I’m giving it to you as an apology gift for the last incident.”
Jovany didn’t answer, his voice cold and indifferent, “No need, I wouldn’t stay in Galwiea.”
Gauge’s face instantly changed when he heard these words.
He grabbed Jovany’s hand, a man who had always been confident and in control, but now there was a hint of uncontrollable panic in his tone. His voice slightly deepened as he said, “Jova, what do you mean by that? I am right here in Galwiea, and in the future, you will definitely marry me. Where
you want to go instead of being with me here?”

She certainly wanted to return to Centronia, marry the person she should marry, and accompany the person she should accompany.
