Chapter 16
When he said this, the Golden Retriever in the yard suddenly barked, and Eloise didn’t hear clearly. “What?”
Zackery furrowed his brow, his knuckles standing out like unpolished cold jade.
He gave Golden a threatening look, which scared Golden so much that he whimpered and lay on the ground, exposing his belly.
“Nothing.”
Eloise nodded and was amused by the sight of Golden on the ground.
“What was its name?”
“Moon.”
“Moon,” Eloise murmured, and Golden on the ground rolled over at Eloise’s feet.
Zackery smiled at the sight, with a glint of light in his eyes, looking very gentle. “It really likes you, moon doesn’t get close to anyone except me.”
“It really is fate. Eloise crouched down and gently touched Moon, her expression soft.”
If the little dog she saved back then was still around, it would probably be this big by now. I wonder how its current owner is taking care of it.
Zackery looked at her, the tenderness in his eyes was about to overflow.
After so many years, he finally waited for her.
The Bronner family elders were all very kind, and they all gave Eloise a big gift when they saw her.
Zackery’s aunt, Elaine Bronner, held Eloise’s hand and carefully examined her. “Elle really is a beauty, no wonder our Zack has been thinking about her for so many years.”
“Yes, Zackery’s Mom, Laurel Bronner, smiled as she placed the fruit in front of her.”
Eloise didn’t quite understand what they were saying. She waved her hand and said, “You’ve got it all wrong, I didn’t know Zackery before.”
But Eloise felt inexplicably embarrassed when she read the name Zackery, not knowing if it was because of Elaine’s teasing.
She looked down at the fruit plate in front of her and was surprised to see that it was filled with all her favorite fruits. Maybe it was just a coincidence, Eloise thought.

Chapter 16
Zackery sitting next to them quickly said, “Mom, Aunt, don’t scare her.”

His protective appearance was seen by several elders, making them unable to stop laughing. “Okay, okay, Mom won’t say anything.”
Laurel took off the bracelet from her hand and put it on Eloise without giving her a chance to refuse. “Elle, this is the dowry I received when I got married. Zack used to love this bracelet when he was little, so he and I agreed that I would give this bracelet to his future wife.”
It seemed like a miniature version of a boy was peeking at his mother’s bracelet, then negotiating with her like a little adult. Eloise couldn’t help but chuckle, looking at Zackery with sparkling eyes.
Zackery’s ears turned slightly red as he tilted his head to the side.
She actually saw him!
Eloise, of course, didn’t know what he was thinking at the moment. She saw Zackery’s ears turning red and thought he was too hot. “Is it that hot?”
Zackery didn’t understand, but Laurel was clear, she knew her son very well.
Seeing her own son’s incompetence, Laurel couldn’t help but laugh openly, and then exposed him.
“He wasn’t hot at all, it was you who made him feel shy. Our Elle is so beautiful, whoever sees her will feel shy.”
Zackery, who was caught by his mother, was not at all upset. His ears just turned even redder. He made an excuse to go out and see the moon, and then he left the house.
