Chapter 8
Desmond looked at my empty stomach in disbelief, his face contorted.
“Child? Did we once have a child?”
Desmond stood still for several seconds, then suddenly grabbed his head in anger and kept stepping
back.
The next second, a kick landed in Raelynn’s chest.
“I’m going to kill you!” Furious Desmond charged forward, mounting Raelynn and delivering a series of punches to her head.
Raelynn was completely defenseless.
“Mr. Galvan, I have been following you for five years, we have known each other for ten years.”
“I have already been punished, isn’t it enough?”
“And you never said that you got married, I have always dealt with the women who used to harass you very well…”
She responded with punches that were increasingly heavier.
Raelynn’s mouth was deformed from being hit, and on the ground, there was nothing but her blood and the teeth that had been knocked out.
Just before I was about to be beaten to death, a doctor appeared and said that shouting loudly would disturb my rest, so he made Desmond stop.
Raelynn was beaten and convulsing on the ground, twitching unnaturally, and was taken to the emergency room by a doctor.
Desmond did not stop, he just held me, tightly holding me, and kept apologizing to me.
The doctor said that due to external force assault, my uterus was injured, and I could no longer conceive.
Upon hearing this terrible news, my brain seemed to stop thinking.
The mechanical head turned, pulling at the corners of its mouth, and asked Desmond, “He deceived me, didn’t he?”
Desmond lowered his gaze, hiding the bloodshot eyes, and grabbed my hand. “We will definitely have our own children in the future, I promise you, we will.”
He said it with a gloomy face and walked out quickly.
I stayed in the hospital for a month before being discharged, and during that month, Desmond

would come to see me every day.
The smell of blood on him grew stronger day by day.
After I felt better, he gradually had the employees who had previously bullied me brought in front
of me.
Without exception, everyone trembled all over, and as soon as they came, they voluntarily knelt down and bowed to apologize to me.
Some slapped themselves, while others took out a small knife and cut themselves directly.
Everyone had deep fear in their eyes, never again living up to the proud look they had when they mistook me for the mistress.
But I just looked out the window.
More leaves fell, autumn is coming.
If nothing unexpected happened, my child would be able to see the first snowfall when they were born.
Until that day, Desmond brought a woman.
I saw her and was stunned.
She was the only person who spoke up for me back then, even though she pulled me into a table and as a result, she saved my eyes.
I finally turned around and said to Desmond, “She was a good person and helped me.”
Desmond was delighted to see that I was willing to speak about things other than the child, and immediately had her released.
“Call the police.”
A glimmer of light shone in my eyes. “I wanted to send them all to jail.”
Desmond disagreed slightly, “I have a better way to punish them, to make them live in fear for the rest of their lives.”
I shook my head and insisted, “Call the police.”
Desmond couldn’t resist me, so he decided to call the police.
On the day I was discharged from the hospital, Raelynn, who somehow got the news, rushed out from the corner and tightly clung to Desmond’s feet, begging, “Mr. Galvan, do you really have to be
so merciless?”
“Don’t forget, I have been with you for five years, I know all the company secrets.”

“If you pushed me too far, I couldn’t guarantee what I would do…”
Desmond flew into a rage and kicked her away with one foot in response to the semi–threatening
words.
I immediately grabbed Desmond and asked him to calm down.
I tiptoed and whispered to him. Desmond’s expression changed from initial anger to calmness, and finally, he looked at me with some surprise.
I nodded.
Raelynn, of course, had to pay the price. How could a little physical pain ever soothe the spirit of my child in heaven?
I sent everyone except Raelynn to the court, and their sentences were not heavy, after all, they were not the masterminds.
If they could endure three years in prison, they would be able to come out and start anew.
They were all very glad.
I sat in the plaintiff’s seat without saying a word.
They didn’t know that I had already spent money arranging ‘adorable‘ wardens for them within the legal and compliant framework.
Every day for the next three years, it would be their nightmare.
As for Raelynn.
She had nothing to do.
Not only did nothing happen, but Desmond also took her to the best hospital for treatment.
Raelynn asked in confusion why.
Desmond gently stroked her head and said, “Because you are my most capable assistant.” “And Chloe can no longer bear children, but our family needs an heir.”
Raelynn’s eyes lit up, thinking that she had finally kept the clouds away and could see the moonlight.
Desmond’s voice was full of charm. “So you need to quickly take care of your health.”
And then we faced our final judgment.
Raelynn was getting deeper and deeper into the dream I had created for her.
Until she finally became pregnant.

She excitedly told Desmond the good news.
Desmond’s eyes gleamed with an eerie light as he praised, “Youth is a wonderful thing, getting
pregnant so quickly.”
“To celebrate your pregnancy, I prepared a big gift for you.”
Raelynn excitedly asked, “What is it? Jewelry? Or a house? A car?”
“It wasn’t, it was a videotape.”
Raelynn’s ears blushed, and she giggled coquettishly, “So, it turns out you are this romantic…”
But the next second, she couldn’t laugh anymore.
Because the screen displayed her and another man engaging in sexual activities on the bed.
More importantly, the man was the dirtiest and most despicable beggar.
The scene changed, and wave after wave of men came and went. But without exception, each one was an ugly man that Raelynn despised the most.
I slowly walked out from behind the screen.
Looking at Raelynn, who kept clutching her stomach and retching, he cruelly smiled and said, “Is this too much for you? We’ve only just begun.”
Raelynn saw me and suddenly realized, becoming frantic. “It’s you! It’s you, you wretched person trying to harm me!”
“I should have just killed you back then.”
He came running towards me as if he had gone mad.
Desmond immediately stood in front of me, protecting me, and kicked Raelynn, knocking her over.
Raelynn held her stomach and looked at Desmond with a mournful expression, “Desmond, don’t you want me anymore?”
“Don’t you have even a tiny bit of liking for me?”
Desmond coldly said, “I have only ever loved one woman from beginning to end, and that is my wife, Chloe.”
“What does our happiness these days count for?”
“Consider it as a way to delegate to the weak, consider it as avenging my wife for me.”
Raelynn cried and laughed, unwilling to admit the reality.

But I wouldn’t give her another chance.
I waved my hand and a group of beggars surged forward, the same group of people as shown on the screen. “Do you know what to do?”
The beggar approached Raelynn step by step, with foul–smelling saliva dripping from his mouth.
I stood outside the door and could still hear Raelynn’s screams.
For someone like Raelynn, even if she were to be imprisoned or suffer some superficial injuries, it would be far from enough to judge the malicious things she did to me.
Killers must have a guilty conscience.
So I had Desmond pretend to be moved by her, be with her, and make her think she was pregnant with Desmond’s child.
At the happiest moment, she was dropped from heaven into hell.
The baby in her belly didn’t know whose it was, but it didn’t matter. With so many beggars around, one punch for each.
There was always one who was the biological father of her child.
I touched my empty belly and looked at the sky: Child, Mommy finally avenged you.
