Chapter 7
“Why was her face swollen like this?”
Raelynn saw Desmond look at my face, without any other reaction. She let go of her worries and
continued to make up stories.
But she didn’t know that Desmond didn’t recognize me because my eyes were swollen and my face
was covered in blood, and I had never looked so disheveled and miserable.
Desmond, my childhood friend, was so shocked that he couldn’t immediately recognize me.
Desmond felt anxious, but he stood up anyway.
“Alright, I hope this incident won’t happen again in the future. I want the front desk staff to be
replaced, and the security downstairs to be fired.”
The president got angry, and everyone fell silent.
After arranging everything, Desmond lifted his leg and prepared to leave again.
But I felt something pulling me, so I looked down and saw that I was tightly holding onto his trouser leg.
“Doughnut…”
Upon hearing the words, Desmond trembled all over.
Just because Doughnut was his nickname, a nickname that only the two of us knew.
Raelynn jealously rushed over, wanting to separate us. “Mr. Galvan, she’s crazy, who knows if she
has any other contagious diseases, stay away from her.”
The next second, Desmond forcefully pushed her away and angrily shouted, “Get lost!”
Raelynn stared at me with even more bitterness.
A sudden change occurred, and everyone was so scared that they didn’t dare to move.
Only Raelynn, still wanted to say something, to provoke.
Desmond carefully wiped my cheeks and softly called out to me,
He muttered to himself, “You’re fine, definitely fine.”
“Chloe.”
No one had ever seen Mr. Galvan so calm and desolate before, and the panic in their hearts magnified infinitely.
Raelynn was pushed to the ground and couldn’t move.

“Who did it?”
Desmond lifted me up, looked around, and was enveloped in anger.
I reached out to soothe the sadness between his brows, but instead of having the strength to lift my hand, I ended up spitting out a mouthful of blood.
The bloodstains spread on his expensive suit.
The next second, I finally couldn’t hold on and fell into a coma.
I woke up again in the hospital. Desmond was not there, only a nurse was by my side.
She was happy to see that I woke up and handed me a glass of water. “The gentleman said she had gone out for something and would be back soon.”
As soon as the water cup was placed down, Desmond pushed the door open.
He saw me lying on the hospital bed with numerous injuries, and his eyes turned red.
“Don’t worry, I won’t let anyone who has bullied you get away with it.”
The door was opened again.
Raelynn was being carried in by several bodyguards.
Desmond kicked her in the knee pit, and Raelynn immediately dropped to her knees.
She no longer had a single piece of good flesh on her body, it was covered with countless knife marks.
Desmond gently stroked my forehead and said, “Baby, don’t worry, while you were unconscious for those three hours, she was also suffering with you.”
“No matter what she has done to you, I will repay it all back to her one by one.”
Raelynn lay on the ground like a dead dog, gasping for breath.
Desmond coughed, and Raelynn trembled involuntarily.
Obviously, the three hours I was unconscious will be her eternal nightmare.
“Sorry, Mrs. Galvan, it was my stupidity that I didn’t recognize your esteemed identity.” “I beg you, ma’am, to have mercy on me.”
“Mr. Galvan had punished you already, and I was covered in wounds that she had cut one by one.” “It hurts so much, I’m really in pain. Madam, could you please help me plead with Mr. Galvan?”
But the pain in her body was not even one–thousandth of the pain in my heart.

The wounds on the body would eventually heal.
But my deceased child will never back again.
come
I turned my head and looked out of the window, and a tear rolled down the corner of my eye.
It was too late; Raelynn couldn’t afford any more cost.
I placed my hand on my empty stomach and gave a bitter smile, “Husband, we have lost our child.”
