Chapter 13
“It was not easy for you to die, don’t dirty Kenley’s hands.”
Just at that moment, Zaid burst in with a group of people.
“Kenley, don’t be afraid, I came to save you.”
Zaid gently fastened my shirt buttons and draped the suit jacket over my shoulders.
His gaze shifted to Lukas, with a cold gleam in his eyes.
“Lukas, if you had competed with me fairly and honestly, I would have held you in high regard. But you chose to use despicable means to force Kenley, and I have lost respect for you!”
Lukas laughed self–deprecatingly, wanting to explain to me, but weakly collapsed to the ground.
“Kenley, don’t go with him! I didn’t allow you to go with him!”
I didn’t love Lukas anymore, but I wouldn’t watch him die in front of me.
Zaid realized my thoughts and had someone take him to the hospital.
As soon as Lukas entered the hospital, Zaid had someone go and ruin the project he had just managed to sign with Vellaraland.
Zaid also had Elysia’s friends join forces to suppress his company.
Originally, Zaid’s true identity was the heir of the mysterious wealthiest person in Vellaraland, and his influence also extended to Elysia.
He made it clear that everyone in Elysia would lose face.
In an instant, the stocks of the Ward Group plummeted.
Julianna called Lukas many times, asking him to come back and take charge of the situation.
On the day of discharge, Lukas was originally supposed to return to Elysia to handle company
matters.
I found out that Zaid canceled his flight when I had my wedding at the beach that day.
The wedding ceremony was halfway through when Lukas appeared in front of me, holding Soren.
I was somewhat surprised that he came.
Lukas, although he used to be a playboy, knew his limits and would never joke around with the

Moreover, the Ward Group was left to him and Julianna by their deceased

parents,
Lukas subconsciously clenched his fist, and his knuckles turned white with exertion.
Zaid was certain that Lukas would come to stop him, so he had arranged manpower in advance to intercept him.
Just as I was about to put on the ring, Soren burst into tears.
“Mama, Mama, I want Mama…”
He was in Lukas’s arms, crying loudly.
It seems that these days, Lukas taught him a lot again.
I had thought countless times about the scene of Soren calling for his mother, but I never imagined
it would happen on the day of my remarriage.
My heart was filled with mixed feelings.
When Lukas repeatedly embarrassed me, I had long given up hope. Giving birth to Soren was just a
way to repay him.
Soren was still calling for his mother.
Looking at his eyebrows and eyes that resembled Lukas, I wanted to say something, but it got stuck in my throat.
After the oath ceremony, it was time for the bride and groom to exchange rings.
Lukas dashed around recklessly, and the bodyguards, afraid of hurting the child, loosened their grip, allowing him to run towards me.
“Kenley, don’t marry him!”
His

welled up with redness, and hot tears streamed down.
He knelt on the ground with both legs, and his knees hit the ground with a dull sound.
“Kenley, I begged you, please, I’m begging you!”
Lukas clutched the hem of my wedding dress, his weak voice filled with pleading.

I pulled back the wedding dress.
Zaid put the wedding ring on me.
Amidst the cheers of the guests, we embraced each other affectionately and attempted a sweet, passionate kiss.
When Zaid carried me into the wedding car, Lukas‘ wailing came from behind, like a dying wild
beast.
I did not turn back.
I heard that after Zaid left with me, Lukas jumped into the sea, saying he wanted to atone for his
sins.
It is unknown how he is doing now.
