I hadn’t gotten enough sleep when Emilia woke me up.
“Kenley, don’t sleep, quickly look at the trending topic!”
The trending topics on Twitter were mostly about the stories of me, Lukas, and Renee.
The president of the Ward Group and his secret lover engaged in an affair in the study room.
The president’s wife was greatly shocked and left home overnight.
The entire internet criticized Renee, and her Twitter account instantly crashed.
This looks like something she did.
I didn’t understand her purpose of getting herself involved in the midst of controversy.
Until Lukas arrived, he indiscriminately slapped me without any reason.
“Kenley, I didn’t expect you to be so malicious. No wonder you didn’t react at all last night. You had already planned to deal with Renee, didn’t you?”
“Go with me to the hospital to apologize to her, do you know that Renee has depression? She was so provoked by you that she cut her wrists and attempted suicide. Fortunately, I arrived in time and saved her. Renee is kind–hearted. You ruined her career, but she doesn’t blame you. She just wants you to apologize to her in person and restore her innocence.”
Innocence?
I was amused by Lukas’s words.
“Didn’t you, as the party involved, know whether she was innocent or not?”
Lukas didn’t give me a chance to choose, he dragged me to the hospital.
Renee lay on the hospital bed, her wounds on her hands were bandaged, and she appeared very
weak.
Reporters outside the door poured in one after another.
“Mrs. Ward, were the pictures online real? Or did you forge them?”
“Mrs. Ward, is Ms. Vernon really the secret lover?”
As I was about to answer, Lukas grabbed my wrist and leaned in close to my ear, speaking in a low
voice.

The injury on my wrist had not yet healed, but I could no longer feel the pain.
“Kenley, you should know what should be said and what shouldn’t be said.”
I broke free from his hand, with a mocking smile.
“Mr. Ward, please rest assured, I came here today to clarify,”
In front of the reporters, I bowed to Renee,
“Ms. Vernon, I’m sorry, Last night, you were just here to discuss a collaboration with Mr. Ward. It was me being malicious, intentionally taking and uploading photos of you and Mr. Ward in a misleading manner on the internet, I even hired people to attack you on Twitter.”
I bowed to her again.
“Ms. Vernon, from beginning to end, both you and Mr. Ward were innocent. It was me who was jealous and used dishonorable means to frame you. Please forgive me.”
Every time I spoke, Renee’s face turned even paler.
A reporter came forward to defend her.
“Mrs. Ward, your apology was not sincere at all. Look at what you have done to Ms. Vernon.”
Renee was worried about how to end it after I exposed her, so she played along with the depression that the journalist had given her.
She held her head, curled up, her voice trembling.
“I was not a homewrecker, I was not a homewrecker, I was just an admirer of Mr. Ward. If loving someone is wrong, then let me die…”
Lukas was afraid that she would hurt herself, so he pulled her into his arms.

He looked at me with a chilling gaze.
“Kenley, kneel down and apologize to her!”
Renee hid in his arms, with a smug smile on her face.
