As soon as the cell door opened, Willow rushed to my side, her expression identical to that time in the past.
“Squelch!”
Willow looked down in shock.
I pulled out the knife and stabbed again. Again and again.
Fifty–seven stabs. I pulled out the knife once more. Fifty–eight. The blade slid across Willow’s eyeball.
“Sister, fifty–eight stabs. Not one less than you gave me! If you’re reborn again, remember to kill me first thing!”
Seeing Willow’s miserable death, Hawk cowered in the corner.
A foul stench filled the air.
I hadn’t planned to kill Hawk. He’d already suffered quite a bit at my hands.
When I conquered the Sky Domain and captured the Eagle King, I learned that members of the beast clans cannot touch their own sacred treasures. Doing so would turn them to ash.
How laughable. Their clan’s sacred treasure was actually a weapon outsiders could use against them.
I turned and walked out of the Realm of Punishment.
Returning to my chambers, I found Finn waiting obediently.
“Your Majesty, you’ve returned!”
I sat on a soft.couch and said softly, “My feet hurt a bit.
‘Finn immediately came forward, lifting my feet onto his lap and gently massaging them.
“Are you sure you don’t want to return to the Merfolk?”
Finn replied, “Wherever Your Majesty is, that’s where I’ll be!”
I didn’t miss the reluctance in Finn’s eyes. The Merfolk King likely forbade him from returning.

to form alliances. If the beast clans wished to intermarry with humans, they would send their adult members to our kingdom!

When I opened my eyes again, I had short arms and legs. I saw a familiar graceful figure in the distance.
