Chapter 12
After everyone had left, the hotel staff called 120 and took Alicia to the hospital.
She had been unconscious for two days. When she woke up again, she felt as if she had been transported to another world.
The phone on the table kept vibrating.
As soon as she turned on her phone, she saw countless messages. All the messages are from Mandy in these two days.
In the photo, Marcus took her to the beach to watch the sunrise, accompanied her to go shopping, watch movies, and do manicures, and even told her bedtime stories.
She finished reading them one by one, then raised her hand and touched her chest. Here, there was no feeling at all.
It seems that she really let go.
She curled her lips and revealed a smile of resignation.
In the afternoon, she completed the discharge procedures and went
back home.
As she arrived at the door, she ran into Marcus who happened to be leaving.
Seeing her, he deliberately took out the box of condoms and tossed it in his hand, “Tomorrow, the wife–swapping game will officially end. After today, I will send Mandy home.”

“Clear your schedule for tomorrow, Nolan sent me an invitation, there will be a wedding for him and Mandy tomorrow morning, you accompany me to attend.”
Alicia stared at him fixedly, her voice devoid of any emotion.
“Don’t worry, you will definitely see me at the wedding tomorrow.”
Seeing me standing on the stage, marrying another man.
For some reason, Marcus always felt that her reaction was strange. He furrowed his brow, about to ask when Mandy’s phone rang.
The moment he pressed the answer button, Alicia turned and left. He didn’t ask again and opened the car door.
That night, he drank all night at the bar with a few brothers. Waking up from a hangover, it was already eleven o’clock.
He rubbed his sore head, got up and washed his face, then went straight to the wedding venue.
On the way, he called Alicia several times and sent countless messages, asking her where she was.
But she didn’t reply at all.
When he arrived at the hotel, he looked at the silent dialogue box, frowned, and typed out a long string of words as he walked.
“The wife–swapping game has ended, and from today on, Mandy and I will also be completely finished. There will be no more contact. You don’t need to be angry with me over such a small matter. There will be plenty more punishments like this in the future. Don’t forget, you still owe me for the rest of your life…”

After pressing the send button, he casually found a table at the bar and sat down, waiting for a reply.
It can be known that five minutes before the start of the wedding, he still hadn’t received a reply from Alicia, nor had he seen her figure.
A waiter brought over a camera with a USB drive inserted, speaking in a respectful tone.
“Mr. Daston, this is Miss Alicia asked me to pass on to you.”
Upon hearing this, Marcus furrowed his brow even deeper.
“Where was she?”
“Ms. Walsh said that you would see her in just a moment.”
Marcus just nodded.
The wedding march echoed through the grand hotel ballroom, but Marcus barely noticed.
He was too distracted–by the buzzing in his head, by the silence from Alicia, by the tiny black camera she had left behind.
He clicked it on.
In the upper corner of the screen:
April 19, 2022.
His pupils shrank. That date was seared into his bones–the day Callie died. The day his whole world changed.
A flicker of static crackled across the screen.

Chapter 12
Then, four devastating words appeared:
“Car video recording.”
His heart seized. His lungs squeezed. It felt like being slammed by a ten–ton truck.
Why would Alicia bring this up now? Why would she show this–on today of all days?
He gritted his teeth, the rage rising fast. She was reminding him that she killed his sister. That she took Callie from him.
Before the video could even play, Marcus grabbed the camera, ready to smash it against the table-
BANG!
The ballroom doors burst open. Pink rose petals fluttered down like confetti.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the groom… Nolan Kecith. And his bride… Alicia Walsh!”
His entire body froze.
No. No. That couldn’t be right. He had misheard. Had to.
Alicia?
His Alicia?
He spun toward the entrance–just in time to see her.
