Chapter 17.
Sadie saw who was behind the wheel, and a horrifying realization hit her.
The next second, she frantically shook her head, screaming at Cameron: “NO! Cam! Don’t do this!
Cameron’s hands gripped the steering wheel like a vice, palms soaked in sweat, his lips white as paper.
Seeing his hesitation, Isaiah’s expression turned murderous: “Can’t do it? Then you can lie down there instead.“]
Cameron’s whole body shook. He suddenly looked up and yanked off the handbrake.
He mouthed silently to Sadie: “I’m sorry.”
Before Sadie could react, the engine’s roar exploded in her ears. She watched that familiar pink diamond race car speeding toward her, the terror in her eyes instantly turning to venomous hatred toward Cameron.[]
The next second, excruciating pain erupted from her legs.
“AHHHHH-|||
Her scream pierced the air.
Sadie’s face contorted in agony, cold sweat beading on her forehead
She thought it was over, but suddenly the car reversed and ran over her legs again
The pain of tearing Desh shot through her entire body–even breathing hurt
Sadie couldn’t scream anymore. She could only instinctively try to curl up, but the tape held her flat against the ground, completely immobilized
The car started up again. Before it even hit her, she passed out from sheer terror.[]
But within seconds, the next crushing impact woke her up again.
Over and over, she fainted from the torture only to be awakened by more pain.
Finally, her voice gave out completely. When n the car rolled over her body, she felt nothing–just numbly watched as everything below her knees became a mangled mess of blood and flesh.
After what felt like forever, the torture stopped. Sadie passed out completely.[]
When she came to, she found herself locked in a room []
It was
identical to the room Genesis had been imprisoned in–even the handcuff on her wrists were exactly the same. 0
But hadn’t the villa burned to ruins?
She tried to sit up but realized her lower body was completely numb and unresponsive.]
Sadie slowly looked down. When her eyes met that shocking pool of blood, a scream tore from her throat.]
Those weren’t legs anymore–just a mangled mass of bloody flesh.
She frantically struggled against the handcuffs, trying to escape, when she heard Isainh’s voice from the doorway: “Tix her up? No need. Just pump her full of painkillers so she stays awake long enough to feel every second of dying“]
“Spread it everywhere. Don’t miss a single corner.“]]
Then the door opened
Cameron was thrown inside, hands and feet bound. Isaiah stood in the doorway like the angel of death, walking toward her step by step.||
“Look familiar?” He stared down at her. “This is exactly what you showed me in those surveillance videos for a whole week. Ring any bells?”
Sadie didn’t dare speak, but she had a sinking feeling about what he planned to do next
Her last shred of hope crumbled, leaving only bone–deep regret. She trembled as she spoke: “Isaiah, I really know w I was wrong… I can leave the country, never show my face again. Please let me go…“]
Tears fell, all her former arrogance toward Genesis completely gone.
Isaiah was unmoved by her tears, his fury hurning hotter: “You should’ve thought of this when you were tricking me with those Al videos! If it weren’t for that fake footage, maybe I could’ve saved Gen in time!”
He turned toward the door and roared: “LIGHT IT UP!”
The next second, the crackling of Dames filled the air.
Sadie watched the fire creep into the room bit by bit. She completely lost her mind, consumed by terror, only able to make weak, whimpering sounds..
